Meat Stop — Restaurant in Brentwood

Was working in the area and found this place after a lot of Google searching. I love a good smash burger so had to try it out. Was greeted by the owner who was very welcoming and helped me work through the menu and pick my order. I was offered to eat in and even offered for me to call my friend in who was eating takeaway in the van from elsewhere. The restaurant looked very clean and nice place to eat just maybe missing some deco to liven it up a bit.

Now for the burger, I went for the original nuttah with had great flavours in it the peanut butter and the chilli jam work so well together the burger patties were cooked medium rare as per my request and were good meaty burgers the only downside I found was that the peanut butter was overpowering the patties so I wasn't getting the true flavour of the meat so this is the reason for 4* on the food. Next time I'm in the area I'll be trying one of the less flavoured burgers so I can review the base ingredients a bit better and will update this review according then.

Overall this is a great place to eat with a great character running the show. Good quality ingredients and great flavour combinations

Edit - have been back and tried the double trouble this time. This burger showcases the amazing quality fresh ingredients used here better than the original nuttah. We had Benjamin and the Meat Stop team cater our 10 year club anniversary celebrations and it couldn’t have gone any better.

Benjamin’s vision for the day matched our tastes precisely as Meat Stop served up the most delicious 3 course banquet with all the trimmings.

Not only were the portions sizeable but incredibly flavoursome. The prawns, which were amongst the largest I’d ever seen, were cooked perfectly with garlic and chilli.

For main course we had a tender rib of beef finished on the BBQ to give the beef that extra va va voom! This was served alongside buttery skin on mash potato and Mediterranean veg. Both of which complimented the beef perfectly.

Last but not least was the apple crumble and custard doughnut. It’s hard to put into words just how delicious this was. For a meat specialists they have undeniable talents in the savoury space!

The team pulled out all the stops to ensure we had the most fantastic day. It was the extra touches that were not expected but didn’t go unnoticed which ensured it was a day we’d never forget.

Guys guys guys, this burger bar aptly named Meat Stop doesn’t just serve meat! The veggie options they have available are absolutely delicious.

I’d highly recommend getting a portion of halloumi fries with their special chilli jam.

For burgers i’ve had both the “Hello Me” and “No Carrots” veggie special they have going on.

The “Hello Me” is packed with a generous portion of grilled halloumi cheese, caramelised red onions and burger sauce. As a veggie I can truly appreciate this burger.

The “No Carrots” veggie special burger they have going on is a new creation and takes the top spot though, filled with halloumi fries, rocket, guacamole and their amazing chilli jam. I cannot fault this burger, if I could eat this burger every day I would but i’d be having arguments with my waistline!
