I don't know how to describe my feelings. Noodle soup with beef is one of my favourite dishes. Well, until today. When you are a person that enjoys food not only eating also expecting to have a nice dinner and it's disaster, you get very upset. That's how I feel now. I ordered a noodle soup and in total we paid 28. For the first time in my life I couldn't finish my noodle soup as it was just noodle and warm water. I could make it better at home in two seconds. Normally when you order a noodle soup you have that nice view of richness of colors, nice noodles, delicious taste of soup even when they add monosodium glucamat(nothing to do about it as it's part of every single takeaway dish nowadays, got used to it). This was just a big disappointment. (((:D-I-S-A-P-P-O-I-N-T-M-E-N-T:))) It came in a plastic cup with spring onion, coriander, some weird tasted beef. I had to put it into a bowl which was funny as if I ordered this to office by mistake I was going to be more upset, embarassed, hungry and was gonna have to go home before finishing the work. Water comes seperately which is nice, but you will just taste salty water with knorr. I had to add chilli sauce and oil, soy sauce that they sent, extra soy sauce from kitchen but none of them could save that bowl and I gave up in the middle apparently. waste of money. I'm really sorry and feeling bad for leaving such a harsh comment, as you guys must be working hard but it was a very bad joke to me and while I'm stil hungry and don't wanna eat anything else for tonight because of this disappointment I wanted to let you guys about your quality so that you can improve it. I will try to think of vietnamese noodle soups that I ate in the past and feel...

I eat at the Hoxton location frequently and have also been to the Dalston location several times, I haven't eaten meat in over 7 years so I was very upset to discover a piece of chicken in my Tofu meal. I immediately was really upset and in shock, so my friend said she would see if it really was chicken, and ate the piece before I could stop her. My friends then called the waitress over and explained there was a piece of chicken in my food, they didn't ask where it was, they just offered me a new meal, but I felt so ill after that I said no. They then said that I would have to pay for it as their policy is to just give a new meal, not give a refund, but why would I want to eat another meal from them after the last one made me feel sick from discovering chicken? It was only after my friends insisted that we don't pay the service charge that we got it taken off the bill. They then kept telling me that if I'd shown them the piece of chicken, they would've brought me a new meal, even though I told them so many times I didn't want another meal and they didn't originally care about where it was. It's not acceptable and I'm absolutely heartbroken because I've eaten here so many times, always left extra tips for the lovely staff I've been served by and brought friends and family whenever they visit. They only cared once it would affect their tips, which was only £14 in total, so couldn't have been more than £2 per person...

Very hungry, and had finished late with some work. Came to Bun Bun Bun, and ordered before a family who were still deciding what to have. The lady took my order on the computer and looked to have sent it through. I went off to withdraw some cash, because their card machine was down. I returned after a quick shop at Tesco’s, because I know it takes awhile for the food to be made. I gave her the money and she looked confused. She then repeated the wrong order to me and I had to tell her what I had ordered, all the while the family receiving their order. I looked at her and she looked very lost and I asked her whether she had put my order through, to which she replied she hadn’t!?! I saw her type it into the computer and yet somehow, she had deleted it and managed to put the order through for the family??? I have to repeat how hungry I was and even more so at this stage. I know we should be supporting the hospitality industry but, support them when they’re doing a good job, especially during these times. I would understand if she was very busy but, it was only myself and the family of 4. I still don’t understand why she deleted my order and took the family’s order instead. So I took my money, left and ordered from Kakki Katsu around the corner instead. It’s cheaper and has always been consistently good. Unlike Bun Bun Bun. I definitely won’t be...

I recently visited Bunbunbun in Dalston and had an overall enjoyable experience, especially when it came to the food. For starters, the salt and pepper squid was crispy and delicious, but the chicken katsu was a bit of a letdown—bland and something I wouldn’t recommend. The main dishes were where the restaurant truly shined. I had the coconut curry chicken with jasmine rice, which was absolutely fantastic! The flavours were rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced—definitely my favourite. My husband had the pork belly with sticky rice. While the pork was tender and cooked to perfection, it lacked any sauce. Thankfully, the generous portions allowed me to share some of my curry sauce, which he really enjoyed with his meal. The service, however, could have been better. We visited during a busy time, and with a queue at the door, it felt like we were being rushed. The staff seemed eager to get our order quickly, which made the experience a bit less relaxed. That said, the food was the highlight, and I would absolutely return—especially for that coconut curry chicken!

BunBunBun is definitely a great spot for pho lovers! I had their chicken pho, and it was absolutely delicious—flavourful, aromatic, and comforting. The broth had the perfect balance of depth and freshness, and the portion size was generous. However, my friend had the beef pho and felt it was just a tiny bit less flavourful than expected, though still enjoyable. The salt and pepper squid was definitely moreish! The atmosphere was cosy, and the service was friendly, making it a solid choice for Vietnamese food. I’d definitely go back! Worth the price!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is why I visited and it did not disappoint, it’s very casual, loud and fun. The set up is a few tables where people sit with people they don’t know - you don’t have to speak to them. The service was okay, I wasn’t a fan but it was the best they could do during busy hour I think. The food was delicious, the best pho I have ever had. The dry noodle dish was massive in portion size and I don’t recommend trying it. The chicken skewers were okay. I strongly recommend going for the pho and vibes !
