The most rediculous supervisor. On Saturday [yesterday] I was at Westfield with family celebrating my son’s birthday and bought a cake from Cafe Concerto Balcony but they didn’t have enough seating so advised to go to their other Cafe Concerto village also in Westfield just a couple of minutes walking distance. I get there and ask the supervisor if I can have seats and table for a few family members to have a birthday gathering… showed him the cake I had bought and he tells me that they are a different independent branch and not a part of the balcony Cafe Concerto and for me an family to dine there we must buy from them and the question I get asked is ‘are you going to buy anything?’ I showed him the cake and said ‘buddy I have already brought an expensive cake from your company and I don’t care if you are independent or whatever I am a customer and I need a table. Then he begins to make more excuses that they don’t have table or space available when there were 3 [three] free tables available in plain sight and not reserved. I suggested that those tables could be given to us and put close together, then he says it’s a Saturday evening and you guys are not going to buy anything from us and so they refused to accommodate us. Cafe Concerto, my advice to you is get this rediculous staff member sacked. He won’t be making your company any money and generally will leave customers with negative ill feeling. Read moreI used to be a big fan of Caffe Concerto due to the great service and delicious food. However, that changed after a horrible experiencd on December 26th 2024 when I had lunch with my family.
The food this time wasn't as great as it usually is and the server came across very creepy to me and other members of my family as he kept harping on how "cute" my 6 year old was, then proceeded to ask for him a hug. Totally bizarre.
At this point we were done with the place and asked for the check. Our server kept stating our card was declining so each member of my family attempted to pay with their card. That included me, my sister, my father and my mother. Multiple times we attempted to pay. Finally, one card worked. Days later we see the charges actually did go through and one card was debited over $1,500!!
We returned and requested the manager to refund us. The manager spoke very little English and flat out refused to refund us, stating he couldn't - which is clearly nonsense. Furthermore, he made no attempts to help us otherwise. What if that $1,500 was all the money we had? We would be totally out of luck! For a manager he has poor communication skills and terrible management skills. If he couldn't help us or fix the issue why not direct us to who could? Give us a phone number or email address? He just sat there and literally shrugged as if to say "too bad."
Overall terrible experience that gave us an unnecessary headache and stress for mediocre food...
Read moreWe visited Caffe Concerto White City (the village branch) this evening (29/12/2021). I was absolutely disgusted by the attitude of one of the members of staff ( Lady with the long hair plate and hat). She was rude, full of attitude, dismissive and over all negative. Besides being rude to us, she was arguing and being rude to other members of staff too, right in front of us! We went for some nice drinks and desserts to whine down and enjoy our evening, but her disgusting attitude added so much negativity to our day and mood. She seemed like she absolutely hates her job. People like that shouldn’t be allowed to work in hospitality! Luckily the manager (blond lady wearing black) was lovely and so was a young member of staff (young boy, with hair bun) and Francesco, who (thank God) took over our table and apologised for the other lady’s attitude. I was never going to set foot in cafe Concerto again and I would have stopped friends and family from visiting, but thanks to Francisco’s lovely attitude and hospitality, we will be visiting again. The manager was away on her break, so I couldn’t discuss this with her, but I am hoping they will see this review and train the horrible member of staff on how to communicate with customers and humans in general (including her colleagues).
