Caffè Venezia — Restaurant in London

My friends and I chose Caffe Venezia for breakfast based on decent reviews. Upon arrival, the initial experience was slightly disappointing as we weren’t acknowledged for a while despite one of the staff members not being particularly busy. I had to take the initiative to approach the till before we were greeted. That said, once we were seated, the staff member was very friendly and helpful, which improved the experience.

The café itself is beautiful and extremely clean, which I appreciated. Our order arrived fairly quickly, except for one breakfast, which came much later after we had nearly finished eating. We had to call the waitress to inquire, and it was brought out immediately. This delay seemed to be a result of poor communication between the staff and the kitchen.

Despite this hiccup, the team’s friendliness and the absolutely delicious food more than made up for it. I’ll definitely give them another chance, as the overall experience was pleasant, and the food was...

I have rated 3 stars which could have been 1 Star but I believe the staff listened to the feedback I provided.

1 - It was unclear where we got a menu from and found one ourselves and it was then unclear if we went up to order or someone would come to us. Turned out it was the former - this is no problem but it's not obvious.

2 - My Wife wanted Crepe but wasn't available as the cook 'had only just got in' ???

3- Tried to order Orange juice but machine was broken - understand these things happen

4- My Wife then ordered Eggs Benedict which had Bacon when it arrived which isn't on the menu but no Spinach which is on the menu - apparently the menu changed but the cook forgot.

5- 10 minute wait for my food (Eggs Royale) after my wife's arrived - I did get Spinach.

I am a New Yorker visiting London for the first time in a number of years, and I found this establishment while on my way to the Metro, tube or as we say Subway, it’s ideally located across from Hounslow Central, from the first time it felt more like home then a cafe, Renata is a diamond 💎 her professionalism and outstanding hospitality is a game changer. I wish I could experience more of this in the USA especially New York. On my last day there she made my latte personalized ( she asked me my name prior Joel, after receiving I didn’t even want to drink it ) to my surprise my latte had my name on it, and her friendly smile.
