We have been regular customers ordering online reason being we enjoyed the food. However, we had a very bad experience from our order last week.. We were disappointed when we tasted the food.. all 3 portions of schezwan rice was bland and only had color. Tasted more like biryani rice. We immediately called the restaurant who were willing to replace it provided we picked up the order as there was no driver available. Since it wasn't possible for us to pick it up, I requested a refund for the 3 rice as the other dishes were fine. Immediately the person on the other side was willing to deliver the order, which I was okay with. However, when my daughter had a few morsels from the replaced order, she tasted an egg shell in one and felt disgusted and we had to throw it out. Within a few hours she suffered a gastric problem with severe abdominal pain with vomiting and tummy upset and the reason being food poisoning. I was on the verge of calling NHS...Luckily home remedies worked. Even prior to this order, one of the fried rice I ordered.. the rice was uncooked and we had to throw it out. This is just not acceptable. Once bitten twice shy..never again will I...
Read moreI placed an order through deliveroo yesterday evening. Based on other positive reviews I took my chances to order from this place. Ordered for a lamb biryani, madras chicken curry, 3 garlic nans & the special grilled platter. There was so much food colour used for the grilled items & the curry. It did not seem freshly made. Me being Indian can handle a high level of spice/heat but the curry was unbelievably spicy. I has a long day at work & was famished, so me & my family just ate little & ended up throwing out almost everything. I hate wasting food & it's not worth spending your money on food that tastes horrible. Inorder to make tasty food, one does not need to use food colouring, excessive spice & oil. That's not what authentic Indian cuisine is all about, seriously wonder who the cooks/chefs are from & if they even they even have a formal culinary background?. Neither do I usually leave reviews or am looking for a free meal but was very disappointed & I would not wanted anyone else to have the same experience. Please focus on quality more...
Read moreAfter hundreds of Just eat orders I can be honest & say this takeaway was the worst I can remember. The positive reviews left on google must be from friends or realtives as they do not reflect the reality of this place. All the 4 main meals I oredred appeared to be reheated heavily salted days old left overs. The Hyderabadi Methi Masala Lamb mains had taken on the dark green oxidized colour you get from being exposed to room temperature for hours before being mircowaved. Urban Kitchen’s Mix Platter was a group of tikka covered bones covered in greased onions. The Lamb Dum Biryani was three small lumps of meat covered in plain rice with a curdled split raita side. Not a single thing in this £54 order appeared to be fresh. It was terrible quality and days old. In an area with some great Indian takeaways I can only assume the policy of heavy discounts gets people to order once from here. I can't imagine anyone is mad enough to order again or order in the first place after reading how bad the food this place dumps on...
