Do yourself a favour (or should that be flavour!) Walk the extra 2 minuets from the same-old-same-old pizzerias on the high street and arrive at Caffe Del Mare. A fantastic independent Italian restaurant that your head, heart and tummy will thank you for!
We first stumbled across Caffe Del Mare when my wife and I were staying in a local AirBnB in the Summer. Since moving to the area soon after, we have visited the restaurant several times and now rate it as one of our all time favourites. The atmosphere is cosy and inviting with a rustic charm. Each time we have been, we were welcomed by the restaurant's owner/chef who invited us to take a table and after placing our order, headed off to cook the meals from scratch. The salt levels were perfect for the main course. Slightly disappointed with the...
Read moreStumbled across this gem by accident with my husband celebrating our anniversary. Took a quick look at the menu and decided to return later that evening for dinner. We shared a napoli pizza - the chef decided to make our pizza in a heart shape which was adorable! - and the chocolate mousse for dessert. Both were lip-smackingly delicious. I was pleased the dessert was perfectly light and choclatey without being sickly sweet. Staff are so lovely. Lovely atmosphere, authentic, reasonably priced Italian food. Can't...
