Seating - Bit close and as they have grill sometime it becomes smoky, but when you are indulged in enjoying the food. you will definitely ignore it. Ambience - Gives a vibe where you can enjoy with group Service - surprisingly, faster than expected. Pricing - Comparetevely economical and won't puncture your wallet for sure.
Turkish pleasure for those who enjoy chicken and lamb is Capital Restaurant. You're likely to find something you like among the many kebabs, wraps, and other meat meals offered here. The kebabs are extremely tasty, delicious, and juicy, and they come with a substantial serving of rice or quinoa. There is plenty of group sitting around the room, which is spacious and pleasant. In the summer, there is additional outside seating available. The costs are fair, and the service is courteous and effective. If someone is seeking for a fantastic and reasonably priced Turkish supper, I would without a doubt recommend Capital Restaurant.
Here are some of the foods that I particularly suggest: A variety of kebabs can be sampled on the mixed grill platter. It is eaten with rice or quinoa and contains chicken, lamb, and skewered veggies.
A traditional Turkish dish is the lamb shawarma wrap. The dish is served on a warm pita bread with veggies and sauces and is made with thinly sliced lamb that has been grilled on a spit.
Another well-liked meal is the chicken kebab. You can order it with rice or quinoa and it's made with juicy, grilled chicken.
You will without a doubt love your dinner at Capital Restaurant, regardless of what you order. The rates are fair, the service is pleasant, and the food is excellent. I...
Read moreVisited this place for lunch, I didn't expect much as it's a no fuss, down to earth place. The food comes with free salad, which was very fresh, and a side of delicious Freekeh on the side. I ordered then 2 stews option, so did my friend. The chicken was quite bland but still juicy, the vegetables were tasty. Now for the lamb stew... God, that was the best ever lamb stew I have ever had in my whole life. Even the vegetable tasted like lamb they were AMAZING! The portions were very generous, I was full and still took half of my food home. I really enjoyed the Turnib drink, it's NOT a soda! but a spicy pickle juice. The rice pudding was also delicious. People at other tables ordered kebabs with mostly chips and/ or traditional starters, everything looked delicious. I'm leaving 4 stars instead of 5 as they were very busy and it took a long time for the waitress to bring the bill. Just kidding! They gave us the drinks for free to make up for the waiting time, so the whole meal for 2 people with free salad, 2 drinks and one desert only cost around £ 26! Also the service was very friendly. Again, if you ever visit, the lamb and green beans stew is a MUST!!! So is the Freekeh. Whenever I'll be in the area next I'll definitely...
Read moreIt’s been two weeks since I returned to London from an incredible 19-day trip across Türkiye—south, west, east, and north—where I tried countless amazing dishes. Naturally, I’ve been missing Turkish food a lot since coming back. So I stopped by Capital Restaurant, hoping to find something close to one of my favorite dishes from the trip.
I showed the server a photo of the dish I’d been craving, and she kindly suggested their Mixed Doner, priced at £16.95. I hesitated a bit—it felt overpriced—but she explained it came with salad, bread, two dips, a sauce, Turkish tea, the main dish, and a slice of baklava. Sounded like a fair enough deal, so I went for it.
When the food arrived, though, it didn’t really live up to expectations. The mixed doner came with two types of rice and two types of meat, but… that was it. No grilled tomatoes, no bell peppers—none of the extras I’d come to expect from doner plates across Türkiye. It made the dish feel flat and a bit boring. I didn’t enjoy it, and honestly, the whole thing still didn’t feel worth £16.95.
The service was friendly, and I appreciated the effort, but I probably won’t be returning. It just didn’t capture what I...
