Have You Washed Your Hands?Have You Washed Your Hands?
Good quality, tasty, authentic, yummy sushi! A hidden gem in the heart of Hammersmith. My friend and I attended a sushi class yesterday (08.02.19) two hours of interesting, traditional techniques, taught by a famous Japanese sushi master called Makiko Sano. She is a lovely, knowledgeable, experienced sushi chef and she made the class fun and exciting. I love eating sushi!!! Learning to make four different types of sushi, is definitely an eye opener and a life changer. Sounds silly right? But nori, fresh sushi, graded fish and raw veg is extremely healthy and promotes life longevity. You get to understand some Japanese customs with the chop sticks and facts and techniques that you can use at home. I've found my local Japanese centre and there are a few in London, so I'll be popping down on my day off to get the necessities. Best bit about the class?? You get to eat what you make and all the fish and ingredients is so fresh!! The wasabi is not just any wasabi! It's literally mind blowing! You need to get down there to try it and you'll understand what I mean! A prize is given at the end for the best uramaki. Practice makes perfect and I'm happy I learnt something new with great company. The restaurant itself, is clean, beautiful, tastefully, decorated and cosy. The right ambience created inside and downstairs. The dishes on the menu is totally yummy. So different from the usual, branded restaurants most people attend. The staff are multicultural, polite and quiet. I recommend this restaurant for its food quality, customer service, decor... Most of all, the sushi class itself is brilliant. Teenagers who are sensible and have an interest in sushi can also attend with their parents. Thanks again Makiko for a wonderful, memorable, afternoon. Will definitely pop in to purchase your cook book and have a super munch!

We've been going to this restaurant for about two years. It has always been amazing food, super delicious. However, this time, it was a bit disappointing. My wife ordered a calpis drink, which was mainly water and hardly any calpis in it. The black miso cod was not cooked properly (it was raw from the middle) it it smelled like bad fish ! Then, our favourite dish, the grilled ginger aubergine was not even half as good as it usually is. The salmon in the sushi tasted stale as well and one of the sushi pieces had a hair in it !!! Other dishes were good. The table we sat on was sticky and not cleaned properly. We returned the miso cod and asked the waitress to add more calpis in the drink, however we did not complain about the hair in the sushi. The only thing that was good was the nice service we received from the waitress. Maybe they have changed the management or the chef, but for a reasonably priced restaurant, the food and hygiene was terrible ! We won't be going there again !

Cosy restaurant in the heart of Hammersmith. There are two floors, however the one below the ground is open only during evenings. Roughly, I’d say that the ground floor can host at max 20 people. The service is relatively quick, it varies a bit (within reason) depending on the number of people and the complexity of the order. I simply love their Katsu Curry, both the version accompanied with rice and the Udon soup (the Udon are simply excellent). I’ve only tried the scallop sushi and they were melting in my mouth. For the record, the only time I left unsatisfied was when I ordered the ramen. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Best sushi I’ve had in London, the quality of the fish is unlike anywhere else I’ve been. We were also lucky enough to go to one of their sushi classes before lockdown too which was fab, and we were very excited for it to reopen.

I am marking down two stars as I’ve tried to communicate with the restaurant via their website and email on multiple occasions to see if they will be bringing back the classes but never had a response. Also ordered some of the delicious pickled ginger from their website that never arrived and my order was never acknowledged. I tried calling multiple times to get my money back but was always told they were busy. Had to raise a case with PayPal to get a refund in the end…

So great for food but otherwise poor service and organisation. Order through Deliveroo...
