Frighteningly obnoxious guy working on the counter here, such a shame that people like this are given jobs. I just ordered a filter coffee with oat milk and he insisted on charging me for an oat latte, which is £1.10 more, "because you asked for more milk - we're not used to serving drinks like that." Caravan baristas aren't accustomed to adding more milk to a customer's filter coffee, when they request it, so feel the need to re-name the order and charge an entirely different fee? When I questioned it, twice, he was really happy to argue about it. Meanwhile, when I ordered exactly the same drink last week, his colleague, a really pleasant young woman, charged me for a filter coffee - would you believe it. Also, when a customer walks into your shop, put your phone down straightaway, not thirty seconds later - you can finish that text later, mate. Appalling customer service. Ordered a V60 filter coffee to go. Was barked at by an angry woman serving at the counter. When politely asked the way to the customer toilets was point blank ignored. Asked again and was met with more barking, huffing and slamming of things on the counter. Everyone can have a bad day. But is there really a place where you bring this to work and subject customers to this attitude? I researched where to find great filter coffee near Euston and came early for my train to visit Caravan that had great reviews. What a let down. Only saving grace - the barista who made the coffee and witnessed the staff members behaviour was mortified.
