Best food ever. Highly recommended!!!

I came to this place on Saturday 8th October with my family and friends for the first time and the experience was so great that I thought I have to share it.

The environment is cosy together with lights from the lamps an candles. Oh my God the sofa was amazing, it was so comfortable that you didn't want to move from there. I have never been in restaurant before where the sofa is so good.

They have good variety of foods and dishes( the vegan dishes are wow). I ordered a cocktail suggested by the manager Justyna and wow, I wanted something sweet and strong and she prepared for me and as she suggested was very very very good.

We also tried some of the dishes which I cannot remember the name but the taste and originality. One of my favourite was a vegan one that contained mushrooms and sone tofu with. First time trying it, my family and friends thought so too. We also had some croquettes, cornbread, lamb meatballs, fish with potatoes salad, etc.

The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. We had a funny situation at the beginning where one of the staff members came to ask us if we didn't want to have anything to eat that we said no and she removed all the plates and cutlery from the table. And after that, one of the manager suggested some of the dishes and we decided to try it out and the girl have to put the plates back on the table again. I can't remember her name but So Sorry ( we had a good laugh together after that).

I am from Glasgow and had my first experience in this place and I loved it. I need to come back.

Thank you for...

Went for brunch with the in-laws. I ordered the lamb meatballs with grilled aubergine, tahini, chickpeas and flatbread. My hubby bought a fry up. And my in-laws ordered a fry up and the golden oatmeal with poached eggs on sourdough. It was really busy during the brunch time on a Saturday which was expected. However, I did find the music to be a bit loud to have a proper conversation. The service was a bit slow and appeared that waiters do not have fixed sections and was hard to get the attention of the staff. When the food arrived, it looked great presentation wise but on tasting, it was nothing special. All the elements from my lamb meatballs tasted store bought and not very fresh. The lamb meatballs were dry and the tahini wasn’t very good. My hubby thought the fry up was below average - could get better at a local cafe. They forgot my mother in laws poached eggs and bread and had to keep on following up for them. The drinks arrived timely which was nice. Around late lunch the place got a bit empty which was nicer. We ordered more drinks and desserts. My father in laws coffee never arrived, and had to request it 2 more times till it finally reached the table.

The only good thing about the place is the atmosphere and the the interiors, staff and food service and quality is below average. Don’t think I’ll be returning or recommending this...

I've visited various branches of Caravan, and my experiences have always been great. You can check my reviews here to see how enjoyable they were. However, my visit to this branch was quite frustrating.

First, we waited ages for our food, despite the fact that the floor wasn't busy at all. Tables around us that arrived after us and ordered the same dishes received their food first. One of the waitresses informed us that you were out of pancakes, which was totally fine, so I ordered another dish. However, we waited so long that we noticed you eventually resolved the pancake issue, and other tables were able to order it. Given how long we waited, I would have preferred to wait for the pancakes as well.

When the staff finally noticed us, after we had to chase them, we waited a bit more to finally get our food. No one apologized or explained what had happened, except the guy who brought the food to us. The chorizo was dry, and the beans were unseasoned. Everything seemed like it was made in a rush. We ate quickly because I was already late for work.

I'm a hospitality worker myself, and I completely understand that mistakes happen. However, I felt that we were ignored, which made the experience quite...
