had such a lovely time here!! first of all, can we just take a moment to appreciate the interior design of the cafe?? feel in love the moment i walked in - loved the bright, airy feel of the place. unfortunately i came without a reservation on a saturday, probably the worst timing, and had to get a seat downstairs. was slightly disappointed as their basement had a completely different vibe as it was so dark and empty. would recommend that you come at a less busy time to get a seat upstairs! while i was slightly let down, the food came pretty quickly and i was put into a good mood again because the food was SO amazing. it was so aesthetic, yet very healthy and tasty and refreshing - who knew healthy food could taste so good?? we got the duck hash (£11.90) and the courgette bread with halloumi (£11.90) - absolutely loved the duck hash - the confit duck was surprisingly tender and flavourful, and the kale was so fresh - this was such an uplifting dish that makes you feel so healthy and happy! the courgette bread on the other hand, was a heavier dish. while i absolutely loved the courgette bread, which was super interesting as it was savoury but also slightly sweet and buttery. the egg was perfectly poached and goes so well with the bread and the two sauces. my only complain would be the halloumi - i couldn’t even finish it as it was too salty for me and a tad too dry. overall, i had a great time here and would love to be back :)

If I can give them a 10 stars, I would definitely do it in a heartbeat. The best place to have a brunch in London, hands down. I’ve been visiting London several times, but my experience with Lantana is definitely something I’d remember. The place is spacious and has lots of seating if you’re coming with a group of friends or family. The service is top notch a chef’s kiss. Everyone is so friendly and willing to share a smile, something I don’t see often in this part of London. Talking about food…I couldn’t stop! Ordered the beef hash with extra spinach and egg (very wise decision!). The eggs were cooked to perfection. Crisp yet gooey yolk. The cooking on the spinach is also a big yes. The potato and the beef is the star of the dish. Perfectly cooked beef where every bite feels so effortless, complemented with the potato that gives extra texture with crisp on the outside. I believe it was glazed by something, but not sure what it was, but! what I know is I couldn’t get enough of it Ordered carrot cake to end my fantastic solo brunch, and it was another hit! Definitely will come back here, and will let everyone know that this place is a must visit!

Weekend Bottomless Brunch We visited during the prime Saturday rush so it was exceptionally busy; they were turning walk-ins away and there was a wait to be seated. However, we were seated very quickly and offered our first drinks within 5 minutes. Our food orders were also taken very promptly which I think is important when you're drinking. The food came quickly and both of our options were absolutely delicious. Food dishes are beautifully presented and portions are generous. There was one member of staff circulating our floor but she was very attentive and topped up our prosecco every 15 minutes or so. Annoyingly, all changes or additions incur an add on charge which is on top of the £45 for bottomless brunch option. There is also a service charge which made our brunch £56 each. We also received no warning that our brunch time was nearly up. Although the food was amazing, there is no way we drank enough to make it cost effective in the 90 minutes. Overall, a very nice experience but wouldn't be in a hurry to return for another bottomless. I would return for the standard menu though.

Your experience really depends on who is working on the day.

I actually first came few years ago for weekend brunch without a booking and was told there was no space. When I asked if I could put my name down and wait for a table, FOH rather rudely told us that there was no space, end of. So we went to Caravan around the corner who gladly took us in with much friendlier staff.

After that experience, I never returned until a couple weeks ago when I gave it another go. The food was great! Average service with a new waiter on his first day forgetting our order but the manager gave us banana bread on the house to take away as an apology which was a nice touch.

With that better experience I returned again today, however there was another team of staff on just didn’t seem like they cared. The waitress gave off the impression that she didn’t want to be there. The food was also definitely not as good so I assume the kitchen staff was different. I have a discount card for 25% off on the weekend and had emailed the restaurant prior, and received a reply from a Rachael confirming the discount. When we paid the bill the staff initially refused to give us 25% off despite me showing them the email chain, saying Rachael didn’t work there anymore. It was only after persistence they honoured the discount with reluctance.

I was almost swayed to be a regular after my good experience couple weeks ago but after today I realised that it is too much of a lottery to rely on this place as a regular brunch spot. Until they sort their staff out with some consistent service I will not be back. After all, there many other brunch spots around the area with equal if not better food and much more reliable service, I’d recommend spending your...
