You will live shorter if you go to that restaurant. 🚨Lemme explain.
Firstly the customer service. Most of the waiters don't speak at all. They will ask you just by hand signs. When we entered, a waiter came and showed his palm to us. We thought he was trying to tell us to stop ✋ and not to come further. So, we stopped. But he was still there moving his fingers (not speaking a single word) looks like waiting for an answer but we didn't know what he meant. After about 10 seconds of awkward silence, one of us understood he might be asking if we were a group of 5, so we said no 1 more person is coming, only then he took us to the table. I mean what's wrong with his mouth? I don't mind if he can't speak English but he can say simple phrases like how many people? or he can just say "5?" He doesn't even wanna say a word. And when we have ordered and we were sitting at the table, again ! another man approached and stretched out his arm and looked at us, SAYING LITERALLY NOTHING. I mean what is wrong with them? This is a different waiter. We were speechless, trying to find out what he wanted to say. And after a while, one of us understood and said we have already ordered. Then he left. Weird people with no respect !
Secondly, wrong orders ! They gave us the wrong dishes that we didn't order. We even had a beef and intense argument when we asked them to change the dishes they gave us. I am totally fed up with that.
Thirdly, the dishes are damn salty. What a shame. Tbh, we are Asians and all of us like salty food. But they are too much ! I bet someone will definitely get hypertension if they eat their dishes everyday for one month.
The last but not least, service charge alone is nearly 12£. I would definitely not complain if their customer service was good. But 12 £ for the service I mentioned above? Dang ! 👎
If you are reading this before going there, I would like to say there are many good restaurants around there. Don't let yourself get angry by going there. I hope this review saves...
Read moreI loved their main larger restaurant just around the corner next to the Q Car Park and thought I'd booked a table there only to turn up and find out I had booked at their original location a few minutes walk away. My fault entirely I just didn't realise they had two locations so close to each other and previously had my stepson book as we knew one of the chefs.
Anyway the staff friendly, we ended up on the second floor so a few flights up and down as I'm a smoker but no big issue and to be honest the exercise good for me and stopped me smoking so much lol
Went for my classics, Gung bao chicken, boiled white fish in chilies, fried green beans and decided to try cumin lamb. Fish was lovely, plenty of Szechuan Peppercorns which is what you want and don't be put off by all the dried chillies as it's not a very spicy dish, purely flavour. The Gung Pao chicken reasonable, could have used a little more heat but fresh and can't complain. The green beans obviously blanched earlier and then fried and lacked a little and the lamb not impressed with, crispy but very little cumin and was expecting to have peppered with seeds but think they'd just used a powder. Tasted okay but nothing special.
Was very cold and we had to ask them to turn off one of the air conditioning units as such a draft and that's after we'd moved from a window table as the window badly sealed and very drafty.
Only two red wines available, I'm sure there was a house version although the waitress tried telling me the three house wines were white even though one specified a red grape and I'm sure was a red. The cheaper red one at £38 and the other a Chateauneuf de Pape at £48 which we went for and was pretty decent. Overall reasonably happy but not as good as I have experienced at the...

This place has been my sister’s and my favourite place to get dry hotpot. I tried this first time back in 2017 and up until now (2022) the flavour and quality has never disappoints me. I always get the dry hotpot because we can choose what toppings you want in your dry hotpot and also request the spicy level.
The dry hotpot has alot of flavour and the seasoning are always on point, I brought 2 of my friends (one french and one is peruvian) and they both love love love it. I love spicy and always order the normal spicy level when I eat with my sister but since my friends cant handle spice really well I asked for very very little spicy and the dish still very enjoyable for me to eat even though I prefer the normal spicy level.
I asked the waiter how many toppings should I get for 3 people because the size of your dish will depends on how many toppings you choose and the waiter suggest around 6 or 7 toppings, so we go with 6 toppings (beef slice, fresh beef, crab stick, pak choi, fish ball, needle mushroom). Me and one friend ordered rice for ourselves and my other friend ordered fried noodle with seafood. We ordered rice because the dish is on the oily side so the rice is nice to neutralized our mouth. Also, this really filled us up so maybe 5 toppings would also be enough.
Now the fried noodle with seafood also amazing in my opinion. The seafood were generous and i love the big, juicy, plump prawns. The noodles they use is the thin kind which I love and the seasoning is on point, a bit sweet but it balances out the very savoury flavour from other sauces they use, and most importantly you can taste the wok...
