Chippy on the Corner — Restaurant in London

I don't remember when this place opened up - I think over a year ago at this point. Anyway, the food is absolutely delicious and everyone in the neighborhood goes here pretty often. The first time I went, I ended up going back two more times that same week! (Then I had to start limiting myself).

I always order the chicken goujons with chips and a side of curry sauce. I am absolutely addicted to the curry sauce. The battered sausage is delicious too. I really need to try more of the menu - I'm just so obsessed with the chicken + curry sauce combination.

The chips are delicious. Perfectly cooked every time. And they give you lots of chips. I am always completely satisfied when I get food from here.

Usually I just get take-away, but they have indoor and outdoor seating. It is quite nice to sit down and eat here, as you can order a bottle of wine or prosecco with your meal! A friend and I went for lunch this past Saturday and had a lovely time.

Additionally, the service is always very friendly. If you live in the neighborhood, this should definitely be your go-to chip shop. The food is delicious and never disappointing. And if you are just in the area and need a place to eat, this is definitely the...

Got take out here twice before, the fish and chips is nice but not amazing - chips are not cooked enough for me and the fish could be bigger. However customer experience and price on the last visit has put me off ever returning:

Last time I went I only wanted to order a Large Cod on its own to take back to my house, the person on the till kept repeatedly trying to upsell me more things and asking me if I was sure - it made me uncomfortable. On their menu they only have "cod and chips" and a large was £11.90. I only wanted the fish and not the chips and they charged me £10.90 for just a large cod. This was an absolute rip off and the most I've ever been charged, even expensive fish and chip shops in London like Sutton and Sons is only £8 for large cod. They justified it that the chip portion was only worth £1.

I won't be returning again, disappointing as it's so local - but that price was a ripoff and rubbed me...

So busy with deliveroo and just eat the place was in turmoil…… Even though I phoned and placed my order for collection still had to wait nearly 20 minutes this was our Favourite chippy to go to…….. however will not be returning. Chips smashed up and soggy, fish mediocre, sausage in batter poor quality and batter anemic in colour They are letting themselves down swapping quality for quantity And adding insult to injury our order was incorrect we asked for large cod n chips and large sausage in batter n chips and curry sauce ( which was very very lumpy These were not large portions but regular.
