Cibo Bar Cafeteria — Restaurant in London

It saddens me to say this about a local business but their prices and quality of food are just not acceptable. I ordered a panino and a bottle of water. My total was over £12 takeaway. I was too embarrassed to cancel. So I hoped the sandwich would be delicious. I ordered salame & provolone. The ingredients were not fresh. The salame looked and tasted like Sainsbury’s packaged salami and the provolone again seemed packaged. It was perfectly cut and sliced into a perfect square. Again this is not fresh provolone. The salad was fresh. I wouldn’t have minded so much if the price wasn’t so extortionate. Yes I do know what good quality Italian ingredients taste like. I have been raised on them. I feel as though cibo are taking advantage of the local customers. I believe I also paid almost £2.50 for a bottle of water. Most people do know the Costco brand. Everyone understands you need to make a profit but these cost 30p to buy and that’s if you’re paying VAT on it, which as a business, I assume you’re not. I know you need to make a profit but please don’t take advantage of your customers like this. If you charge £10 a sandwich, please make sure these are good quality ingredients. Avoid this place! After a walk with my dog, I went here to buy some pastries. Firstly, there isn't any display outside for pastries, and dogs are not allowed inside, so I couldn't even enter. While asking if I could bring my dog in to check out the pastries, my dog bumped into a table outside that was too close to the entrance, leaving no personal space. The worst part was when I apologized, an old man smoking (despite a huge no-smoking sign) told me I should control my dog. I received no apologies from the staff and felt completely unwelcome. My gosh! I went in there thinking it was just a regular cafe. I was totally blown away with the quantity of the food. The Italian recipe sausages are the best I've ever had in my entire life. The service was very good, the owner is also a true gent. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you enjoy superb food for an affordable price, you must visit this cafeteria.

I will definitely visit again.
