City of Paris isn’t just another Indian restaurant for me—it’s a place full of memories. I came here for my 5‑year anniversary because five years ago, I had my COVID wedding here as well. Walking back in brought back all those feelings from that day, but this time without the restrictions and with more time to enjoy the experience.
The hospitality is 5 stars, the food is 5 stars, and the whole place is highly recommended. My absolute favourite is the chicken jalfrezi—they make the best one I’ve ever had. It’s perfectly spiced, packed with flavour, and goes amazingly with naan, but is just as good with rice.
They also started us off with complimentary poppadoms, which were crisp and fresh—such a nice touch to begin the meal. The rest of the dishes were excellent too—the chicken tikka was juicy and charred just right, and the biryani was fragrant without being greasy.
Service was warm, attentive, and genuine from start to finish. The venue itself is spacious and elegant, ideal for both intimate meals and big celebrations. Clean, well‑lit, and comfortable, it added to the special atmosphere of our anniversary.
For me, City of Paris will always be more than just a restaurant—it’s where life’s big moments are celebrated, and it never...
Read moreI had an exceptional dining experience at City of Paris! From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home.
I started with the Prawn Puri, which was absolutely delightful—the prawns were fresh, juicy, and perfectly spiced, all nestled on a light and fluffy puri. For the main course, I had the Chicken Jalfrezi, and it was fantastic. The chicken was tender, and the dish was packed with vibrant, tangy flavors, with just the right amount of heat. The Lamb Biryani was another highlight—aromatic, well-spiced, and generously portioned. The lamb was succulent and cooked to perfection, blending beautifully with the fragrant rice.
The service was impeccable, with the staff being friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure everything was perfect. Overall, City of Paris delivered an outstanding meal and experience. If you’re looking for top-notch Indian cuisine, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to return and try more dishes! Highly...
Read moreI really am confused here. This used to be our best Indian to go to to but it seems that standards have dropped. We used to know the owner manner it’s changed hands I don’t know. Our go to Family favourite a jumbo king prawn Dansac (Maybe misspelt wrong I do apologise). Was somewhat lacking There were three jumbo King prawns within it and the Dan itself seemed like you had no time to actually mellow and take on board the flavours it should. Having said this, the butter chicken with chicken tikka was also lacking in flavour. It just seemed like things had been thrown together and not allowed to actually mellow within the spices that it should so disappointed and considering that it was more expensive than a competitor we will not be going back again even though we knew the owner and he live...
