Customer service rubbish, I went to buy the team breakfast for a treat (takeaway), new customer just moved to the area, they only had one vegan option but they had ran out of avocado’s, so no vegan options for my colleague. I gave the other order and waited 10 minutes, they had forgotten then got the order wrong then served loads of people before me who had not preordered. One of the guys was ignoring me and the other just kept getting the order wrong, it was 945am., not that busy. I was wearing a forest shirt in honour of the guys killed in Nottingham. Maybe they thought I was not worth giving good service to. I only went there because a guy who works for me wanted food from there. The food was expensive and overrated by my colleague. I left feeling quite shocked at my treatment (first word problems I know), as I love cafes like this normally they are my go to, but as you can see I have never given a bad review on any business account until now. Waitress didn't bring an orange juice (there was just two more tables occupied apart from ours) and I've had to ask for it specifically. I was told that I can take a bottle of orange juice from the fridge and was given a glass. When I paid for food, I was told that, apparently, I took the wrong orange juice (same size, just a different brand) and have to pay for it. Read moreI visited Clifton Café this morning and ordered two sandwiches. To my surprise, I was charged extra for simply choosing my type of bread and having one of the sandwiches toasted. At no point did the person taking my order clarify that there would be an additional charge for these basic options.
I was considering becoming a regular customer, but I found their approach to charging for such small adjustments without any upfront transparency rather unprofessional. It’s disappointing to feel like you’re being taken advantage of in this way. Unfortunately, I’ll be reconsidering returning...
