Clover’s Brixton — Restaurant in London

Had a lovely evening celebrating a birthday the platters were ample for sharing and we're tasty for a variety of palates. It would have been nice to have a divider on the platter as if I don't eat meat, I would not have been as enthralled that the chicken was beside the other items. The saltfish fritters were absolutely divine. Music by DJ Ian was on point, everyone was up and dancing the entire evening. Location if loos was a bit off putting when you have individuals that do not close doors and the loo is then visible from the table where I was sat (Thankfully I had eaten already). Have been going for years and my closest friends and family members are always there too - a sort of 'Cheers' effect. The staff are efficient very friendly and attentive (they know what I usually order). The food is fresh and great and reasonably priced. It is my really favourite hang out/restaurant/bar in London. I take friends there who come from abroad who then come back and make it their go to spot - its that sort of venue. Some friends arriving from France today and we arranged to meet there - but it may be closed! Had a work reunion at Clovers last night and we all had such an amazing time. You feel as if you are being looked after in someone’s home, the decor is stunning and homely and Clover and her team just make you feel so welcomed and at home. The food is scrummy and the Caribbean sharing platters are just perfect for groups (my favourite will always be the Saltfish fritters).
