For years, we loved this place and visited every time we came into London for shopping, but the last two visits nobody enjoyed their food so won't be returning again. Especially when spending £80+ pounds for 4 people. The salad has become just cabbage, with no lettuce or cucumber at all. We understand the cost of lettuce and cucumber has gone up for restaurants, but nobody else has permanently substituted them for cabbage. They no longer serve the dishes with rice on the same plate. Instead you are required to purchase it separately which comes in a bowl so the amount of rice is far less than before. Instead you get half a plate of cabbage salad with your meats. The fresh pomegranate juice they used to do has been watered down with 'orange blossom' and tastes nothing like it used to but costs the same as before. I used to talk about this juice to everyone to try but now it seems you're better off with a tap water as it's so watered down and flavourless. It used to be so flavourful you could smell the drink before drinking it and now it's nothing like before. Lastly the harissa sauce has changed to be so oily that my elderly dad had a coughing fit when he dunked his meat in it to try. It used to be a paste and now it's changed to be filled with oil and no flavour. I'm not sure if this company has changed hands but every single part of our favourite dishes and drinks here has diluted in quality and flavour and sadly we don't see ourselves giving it a third go. There is a new Lebanese restaurant opposite which had huge queues, so we'll have to try there next time to compare. Please return back to how you used to be.

I had a very disappointing experience at this branch. I only ordered falafel and chips, which should have been quick, yet I ended up waiting over 20 minutes. While I was waiting, I noticed the manager — a small woman wearing a hijab and black clothes who was handling customer orders — flirting with a male Arab customer. He had also ordered falafel. I overheard her tell him that his order was “way at the back” and that there were other customers ahead of him, but when he asked her to make him “just a falafel out of sympathy,” she agreed. What happened next was shocking. The customer before me had also ordered falafel and received her food promptly. My order was immediately after hers, and I could clearly see the kitchen staff preparing and finishing it. However, instead of giving me my completed order, the manager took my food and handed it to the man she had been flirting with — even though my order was placed before his. I waited another 10minutes. To make matters worse, this shop charges for sauces — but they don’t treat customers equally. I saw an elderly man request sauces and be refused because he hadn’t paid. Yet when the same man the manager was chatting with asked for sauces and said, “come on, it’s just sauces,” she gave him several for free. This is blatant discrimination and completely unprofessional. The entire situation was uncomfortable and unfair. I genuinely hope management takes this issue seriously, as this kind of behaviour should not be tolerated in an establishment representing a well-known brand.

I have been to their branch in the Duke of York Square so expected the same standard yet was met with overwhelming disappointment. We ordered 2 'shish taouk' wrap platters and the chicken inside looked as if it was boiled.. completely plain. I am not surprised either to now read the numerous reviews for this branch that describe the same experience of 'soggy tasteless chicken wraps'. It is really embarrassing that the restaurant would put out such a meal. On top of this, the portions were meagre. The hummus was just a smear on the plate left empty in the centre for a small pool of olive oil. This is particularly disgusting as the prices are not cheap. I complained about the meal to the worker at the till and he refunded mine alone. He explained the chicken was grilled but had to be sliced for the wrap and that is why it appeared the way it did. I do not believe this as there was no sign of charring on the chicken, and it looks wildly different to the skewers. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially since there are many others in the food court at Westfield. The till worker was even himself recommending a different restaurant to customers when we were waiting in line to order... says it all.

As my mate and I were going shopping in shepherds Bush, she thought going to the comptoir libanais here would be a good idea (we've been the other branches) although when I checked the reviews I noticed how low this particular branch scores compared to the others. So I do admit I came here knowing I probably won't like it as much, but even then, I didn't know it'd be this poor. I definitely won't be ever eating from this branch again. I do understand that it's extremely busy so I know cooking will be a little rushed, but that's ok. However the service is actually super fast, which I was pleasantly surprised by. They also have the food on display so you know exactly what you'll be getting, which I think is a great idea as I'm someone who likes to know what I'm ordering beforehand. The first issue was that I ordered a chocolate brownie dessert, but i wasn't given the ice cream. The girl who served the food told me that it doesn't come with it. That puzzled me a little as I thought it did. However I just said ok and went to find a seat. I did check on my phone once seated and I was right, ice cream IS included, so the idiot who served me lied (I visited sat 27th Oct around 2pm). I didn't bother to go back and ask for the ice cream. Firstly, the food does look really appetising. However, the batata harara (potatoes) were very dry, it was getting stuck in my throat. When potatoes are fried it's meant to be hot, but these were stale. Disappointing. Secondly, although the consistency of the hommous was really smooth, it was bland. The organic hommous from Tesco is a lot better. But my chicken taouk wrap was really nice and had a lot of flavour. Thirdly, the chocolate brownie was dry. Flavour was decent but I don't justify paying £5.95 for a small dry brownie. Obviously the ice cream would have helped. I also had a hot chocolate - this was a standard hot chocolate (not like the one from comptoirs other branches where it included these really aromatic and flavoursome toppings ultimately making it my fave hot chocolate ever) but that wasn't included in this one. My friend ordered the grilled chicken taouk. Her chicken was so dry she couldnt eat it. So all in all, it was disappointing. It has the potential to be really good but fails. It is only this particular branch which sucks, and I won't ever eat here again due to one particular lying employee, and the poor food quality. I've given it two stars due to the fast service and my tasty...
