OK, the food in this place was good, authentic dishes, and tasty, but our experience with their service was poor. While I have only been there once, for Lunch on a weekday, I doubt I will be going back, as we have never been served so poorly anywhere else, not even in Spain, and by all means not in London. We ordered 7 different tapas for 2 adults and 2 children - our favourites to start with - hoping from there we could decide what else we would be ordering. The problem was, they brought one tapa at the time and then you had to wait at least 15 minutes with empty plates, hungry children asking "why isnt there anything else to eat“ And only after those 15 minutes they would bring the other tapa. Now, imagine sharing one tapa with 4 people each time. Picture this: sharing one small leg of Octopus between 4 people. You are obviously done in 4 minutes!... And then waiting again. So after an hour, we were still missing one item in our order, and we decided to leave, as it was not worth ordering anything else only to continue with the pattern: sharing one tiny dish at a time, and then waiting another 15 minutes to get the other one. I mean, at least you would expect to have three at the same time when sharing! But they never even brought the marinated olives we asked in the first place, which don't even require cooking. We left to another restaurant to finish our lunch and have dessert, kind of starting over. Shame, because I really wanted to try their desserts, but we were frustrated already. To be fair, there was a larger group that seemed to have the manager busy with their wine requirements, but it wasn't even full house. Like I said, the quality of the food was good, but it only confirms the theory that going to a "tapas bar" outside Spain is not...
Read moreFood was good but service was fast food restaurant standard.
I have been here a few times and used to like it, hence coming back with my friends, but definitely not going back again.
Booked a table for six people on a Thursday night, well aware in advance the booking is only for two hours, absolutely no problem. A couple of friends arrived late due to traffic but we didn’t wait, we ordered food and drinks first. Waitress felt it was necessary to remind us the booking was only for two hours every 20 mins with the manager on the night kept checking when the other two guests in the group arrive with an attitude.
The bill landed on the table 1.5 hrs into the booking, 30 mins short of the booking, without us asking and by the said manager with a poker face.
Such a shorted sighted approach for the business. Yes it was lucky enough to be busy on that night (not the same when I visited previously) and they felt that they could kiss off their guests with such poor service. That’s how restaurants loose their returning customers.
Such a shame, the previous serving team was much more professional.
If you are not looking for a fast food restaurant at this price point and want to enjoy your meal, definitely not...
Read moreFor being a Michelin Star restaurant my wife and I were super excited to go. This restaurant was also recommended by a local, but needless to say it was underwhelming. To start we ordered the almonds, which were the best thing we had, fried calamari was not terrible but needed A LOT more salt. Then we ordered the special of the day tapas, a baked scallop with jamón breadcrumb. It was a tasteless neverland. The scallop was hard to find hidden behind unflavored soggy what was supposed to breadcrumbs but tasted like packing peanuts and when you found it it was chewy and hard, a way a scallop should never be. We also orders the “ Coliflor torrefacta Deep fried cauliflower, garlic & chilli emulsion, tahini & pea purée”, flavor was there but when you read deep fried, you expect a crunch, which was absent. Service wasn’t MS worthy, they forgot a dish we ordered and was never offered us water at the beginning of service. Live and learn. Don’t judge a a restaurant by their stars. Highly disappointed. From my experience tonight I’m honestly surprised it...
