I recently had a disappointing experience at the Costa Coffee Shop. I was quietly working on my laptop when I noticed that the air conditioning was set to an uncomfortable level. The cold air was blowing directly at me, making it nearly impossible to focus on my work. I approached the manager politely and asked if he could adjust the movement of the air conditioningâspecifically, to stop the air from blowing directly on me. I wasnât asking for the whole system to be turned off, just to make a slight adjustment on one side, as the unit had four sides.
To my surprise, the manager flat-out refused without any consideration, looking me straight in the face and simply saying, âNo.â I found this response both rude and unprofessional. Itâs frustrating when a business prioritizes convenience over customer comfort, especially when the request is reasonable and easy to accommodate.
This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I doubt Iâll be returning to this location anytime soon. If you need a comfortable spot to work, I suggest finding another cafĂŠ where customer comfort is...

As soon as I sat at a table, I asked about wifi as I couldnât find any but saw on the website that you can connect to wifi at Costa if you buy a drink, I was rudely told there is no wifi but I still need to buy something as I canât sit there otherwise. I intended on buying a drink, but donât remember there being this rule in coffee shops when empty. I then went to order a drink, I asked for it to go (as I wanted a paper cup) and I was rude questioned âto go?â As if I was trying to save a couple of pence. I also asked for creme on my hot chocolate, when it came to the girl making the drink she asked if I wanted creme, I said yes. She asked if I paid for it, I said I donât know I wasnât asked and she said well it looks like you didnât, go pay 50p if you want creme. The whole experience made me feel very uncomfortable and I was treated as a naught school girl / someone just trying to take advantage of things?    Read moreI asked for a black cold brew with sugar syrup and half the ice they would normally put in and apparently asking myself why that order was so difficult for the 2 staff members on duty to comprehend was rude but giving me attitude because I dared to ask if there was any cold brew in the fridge at the start of the transaction wasn't and then to serve a very watered down cup of cold brew with no sugar syrup in it at all wasn't rude at on their part . I have frequented this particular costa for at least 6 years and this is by far the worst service I have had at this location but not the first bad service I've had there tbh I think I'll travel a bit further in future and go to the O2 location or even the Odeon Greenwich location and give this...
