I went to the costa inside the station NOT THE MAIN ONE ON HIGHSTREET and the experience confirmed to me my complete dislike and miss understanding for why people even go to costa, the coffee is absolutely disgusting and I have had coffee in quite a few countries at different price points as I love the stuff, however I went in at 9 am on a saturday morning expecting it to be queiter than normal which it was planning on using a vodafone rewards voucher which was to be downloaded which I did then scanned at till, there was 2 one at the espresso maker and one at the till there was about 2 people behind me I gave my order and said I have a vodafone voucher which I had showed her and she confirmed its accepted then I went to pay contactlessly which showed the full price but it was too late after she confirmed after scanning the voucher worked. I had tapped my card and I told her I just paid the full price how come and she called the other girl and she started to say you have to let us know first which I did how rude her attitude was very rude and dismissive she said she is training which was a lie so she instead of giving me half the money back and a coffee she gave me all my money back and said bye. That is such bad customer service and am please to say I will never spend my money in a costa hole...
Read moreWent to Costa for lunch after having a long morning at the hospital. Ordered a soya cappucino and a rocky road. Wanted to have the vegan toastie but you didn't have it(as usual). My coffee was disgusting, undrinkable. I did not want to complain at first but I could not drink it, the milk was off. When I went to the counter and explained to the kind girl so served me, another member of the staff which I was not talking to(short blonde hair) raised her voice to me and said next time I should say it right away because I drank half of the coffee which was not true. What is te difference if I have a sip or 10, the coffee was disgusting and milk was off so you give me a new one because I payed for it, you didn't. ALso you have to throw it anyway? Lol The kind girl who originally served me did not have an issue in making a new coffee with a different milk. I don't appreciate the way this rude woman talked to me. She clearly has no customer service skills and has no clue how to talk to customers. I worked in hospitality for 10 years and in coffee shops, I received good training and never spoke like this to any customer. The girl who work this Friday lunch at the tills had so bad attitude when I asked her is she has 5 pounds for change . She look at me and with that sarcastic face said . Ohh I don’t have it for myself and you want me to give you . No hello no goodbye no thank you . I lived in Hendon over 13 years Costa it’s my spot place for some different flavour coffees I order sticky toffee pudding coffee it was horrible no flavour at all and not even coffee I couldn’t tasted it it was just milk. And not the first time this happens . Also staff should be given more costumer service training . Remember it’s not just the cup of coffee it’s so much more into service you can give to costumer . I found so unprofessional when staff standing at the tills and chat about personal things. I use to work in coffee shops long time ago . I have so much experience in costumer care service and skills . But never seen the last few years in Hendon Costa so bad staff working . Shame I won’t be going there...
