Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

Costa Café, is like my Spiritual Home. Sometimes, this ( Zen-like, state of mind. Gets, interrupted.)

When it is busy, I understand that maintaining clean tables can be, tasking. At the time I was there ...it wasn't as busy. I asked a member of staff for their cleaning materials, for me to clean my table? The staff member, cleaned my table for me.

I was annoyed by the smell of cigarette smoke wafting in, from outside, seating area, into the seating area, inside. This was due to the front door being left open, I asked a member of staff, if I could close it? I was granted my wish. When it was closed, It got hotter inside the seating area. And it started to feel like a sauna, for me. I opened the front door.

The second thing that happened to me on that day was. A young lady, brought her dog inside, to greet her grandmother, who was waiting to use the facility. Her dog, was on, one of those, cassette leads. And she lets her dog, roam around with the lead extending...

Her dog, jumped, on the space next to me, and started (((GROWLING.))) I DIDN'T LIKE THIS... She apologised, ....it felt insincere. This was, one of those stupid behaviours.

....Not everyone likes dogs.

I thought...the reason for having a dog, on a lead is: to keep them, next to you?

I controlled myself. The staff looked on,...they didn't say anything or...

This review is after being there more than 3 times. Clean, Efficient service. Quality of coffee depends on the person preparing the coffee. Sometimes the coffee is good and sometimes 😭 ... Maybe also depends on the time you visit the place ... Overall I am a big fan of Costa ... Prefer that to Starbucks ... But, not when the quality of coffee is so different at different places and on time of day ... Overall 3 stars ...

After being here more than 10 times in the last 1 year. I have to revise my ratings to 5 star. The coffee still is dependent on the Barista making it. But, in the last 1 year. I have seen that the Barista are getting better. The taste of coffee is also much cleaner. The service quality has increased manifolds. The service is now faster, better and more efficient. And I can tell that as my family now wants to go there once or twice a month. And they didn't want to even go there...

The other day I visited my local Costa Coffee after many years. The food and drinks did not disappoint, I had a flat white to takeaway. It was made delicious but the prices have gone up so much in Costa now. They put the price up for everything. The sandwich fridge was a joke, it all starts at around £5. When I went it was not that busy but I was disappointed in the staff, there is no diversity in this store whatsoever. Some can’t speak English fluently and they all speak their own language to each other making us customers uncomfortable and think if they’re speaking about us or something else. The store is awfully dark. There is not much natural light inside and the interior is so outdated, it’s still the same after many years. I expected better visiting after 3 years! The only thing that saves this store is the good...
