We went to Spice for dinner. The welcome was good. The customer service was superb, the man who took our orders and served us was gentle, always smiling and was checking if everything was okay. When we pointed out something about the rice he was quick to rectify it. The food was delicious and the bread was tasty. When we had finished the dinner and drinks, he gave us some chocolates and even offered us free drinks and that was great. As we left I thanked him for his hospitality and asked for his name it was then that he said he was the owner of Spice. Kalik is a humble man. Great service from him and his staff. Well done. I highly recommend 👌.

Great service and great food! Sadly moved further away, but still try to visit when I can, and it's always worth the journey! You'll be welcomed with a smile, fed some great food and leave feeling very content, what more could you ask for from a local Indian restaurant? I've been to the majority of the alternatives nearby over the years and Spice has always topped the lot and kept me going back! I'll be heading down soon!

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent order of Chicken Biryani. This was my first time trying it from your restaurant, and to be honest, the experience was quite different from what I expected.

The biryani arrived with a very strong red colouring and contained a large amount of chillies, which made me unsure whether this is how it was intended to be prepared. The dish also lacked presentation, which was disappointing given the price of £15. Additionally, there was a side of curry-style mixed vegetables with potatoes and onions included, which didn’t seem to complement or align with a traditional biryani.

In conclusion, I feel that this was not an authentic biryani experience, either in flavour or presentation, and unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations for...

This is not an Indian Restaurant in fact the service and the food was poor. We sat and waited for 30 min with no food they had forgotten our order .The food had no spice no taste not even salt which I found shocking for an Indian restaurant very bland food . NO covid safety measurements in place , staff were not taking precautions no sanitation available, customers were not asked to wear mask no temperature check . Overall poor quality of food and service the staff very not attentive at all often spoke in their own language and ignored us . I'm surprised that others have given this place 5 star . I would not reccomend this place if you like your food seasoned properly with authentic flavors. Good customers and good food is the least we required and...

I always believe Indian food need not be spicy to be tasty.... However that's what they think that authentic Indian food is spicy and what they make is a bland un-tasty version... Indians please avoid this place... Inspite of repeated requests they just would not serve us anything on the menu ...and insisted that it would be very bland and non-indian taste and made us a custom horrible tasting (though lil spicy, dark brown with a lot of tamarind) curry...They serve a different class of food (definitely not Indian)... worst Birthday dinner I ever had ... and not authentic at all... and not to mention really felt unwelcome there (as they kept suggesting you will not like anything on the menu) - edited this 7 years on as I still remember...
