beer is a overpriced and the parking is a pain which is a shame because it as a really nice interior design with its cricket theme throughout the pub is exceptional and the pub front is a lovely place to sit in the summertime.. parking is limited to about 9 spaces and the staff seem Nice enough without being over the top.. The beer is a little bit overpriced for my liking on some of the brands and in busy periods somebody needs to Pay more attention to cleaning down the tables downs after someone as finished as their is nothing worse then sitting in somebody’s else’s mess with beer running off the table from previous punters. The Food is good enough for okay recommendations and is reasonably priced.. The age group of the pub is mostly Middle Aged with a few youngsters in the mix, The atmosphere is vary upper end of the white English working class to the lower end of middle class, it’s a claim Relaxed social pub that doesn’t disappoint and lives up to its reputation for a pub where you can still have a good old chat with acquaintances and friends without ...
Read moreWhat a great location which is nestled between locals, of course this causes issues for sound and they close early but hey who is going to move a Pub from the 1900's. Food is on par with rivals in the area. Let's talk decor, wow.. if u are a cricket lover you are going to love the hidden gems of history inside.. draft taps made to look like stumps, cricket balls as lights and countless historical photos of the past. For a name like cricketers it can be a little deceiving as even though it sounds like a sports bar, they only have 1 tiny TV... so not a place you want to go watch a final day of a test Match on a Sunday. All in all great historical Restaurant with a mustard seed of becoming a great Sports bar... I would go at least every month with a group of mates to have a quite...
Read moreGreat service, really friendly, looked after us, parked up on site and it was sunny - was a very good day! We have quite a few pubs in our village down the road (won't mention names). But the Cricketers is always a nice one to go to as the food is great. Staff are really attentive and nice, has a local feel but without needing to be a local to get the same attention as a local if that makes sense! It was a really nice touch that there was a minutes silence observed for that later Duke and it was fabulous to be able to be back out in a nice beer garden that the cricketers have. The pub inside is great of course as well. I guess the only regret is not being able to try the great food as got a little too excited tasting the pints again after the long wait. But will be back for the food next time and looking forward to it. Thank you to everyone there for always making us feel welcome and just by being a great pub....
