Updated to one star due to customer handling from restaurants side and responding to a review saying “why are you complaining”- clearly there is no customer management experience. I did not order the Shisha BECAUSE of its price so yes I get to “complain” about the price. Also, since when are mezze plates or platters not supposed to be shared? We are not new to the Lebanese cuisine and understand that mezze is shared appetizers on the table. If you do that differently than every other Lebanese place, it’s on you to warn us, which you haven’t even though you saw we were 3 people discussing what appetizer to share. You’re not a coffee shop but you don’t need to be to a coffee shop to have alternatives to full fat milk- any basic restuarant offers that. Lastly, when a customer shares feedback, it’s extremely unprofessional to get defensive and attack the customer rather than address the actual issues at hand.
We ordered the Mezze Platter to share for 3 people and it was honestly ridiculous. We got one item of everything included in the platter, one vine leaf, one falafel, etc. For a platter that costs 16 pounds, that definitely was a ridiculous portion to serve. Also, shisha costs around 40-50 pound, it would be cheaper for you to buy your own and make it at home. Service was also very slow as we needed to leave and had to ask for the cheque multiple times despite having very few customers. I also asked for coffee after food and they had no skimmed milk, semi-skimmed, or plant-based milk. I guess the 3 stars go to the shish which was nicely cooked and marinated, and the small complimentary baklava they served after dinner. Overall do...

Went a week ago, spoke to the owner and everything is back on track.
Food (wraps including shish taouk, fattoush) etc was all back up high standards.
Go and give them some love.

Has been a go-to joint for years. However most recent trip the owner has left the place to couple of people I've not seen before, one of which is a bald guy. Unfortunately this has translated into slow and poor service, failed to bring out food on time (was not just my table but another table first chased up their chips and then ended up trying to cancel them as they took so long), failing to put on the outdoor heater, although 5 minutes later they did it for another customer who ordered a shisha.
On this occasion didn't feel valued as a customer at all - I've had better service at McDonalds. Prices are up, service down. Not a good combo. Need to treat all customers well and equally.
Possibly time to find another place. Hopefully owner will read this and rectify this as it's a shame because it was previously a great place.
Food still good however.

Is this place worth driving an hour for every day to eat at. No! But maybe every other day, yes. Great location. Food excellent perhaps a few small improvements if being picky but excellent atmosphere on the area and the Fatoush is...
Read moreThe staff are attentive and friendly. The place is a bit small luckily I went there for very late lunch otherwise it would be too cramped if the room is filled with customers. The food was not exceptionally good, I have been with many Lebanese and Turkish restaurants but Diwan was a let down for Lebanese cuisine. I ordered baby chicken which was dry and bland, the salad was nothing but lettuce. It is a complete rip off for price for the quality of food. I fully support local businesses but as I always say they need to improve the quality of food they serve to the customers. I could have gone to next burger joint or to my favourite poke bar across the restaurant but I wanted to try this one. Shame that this restaurant is the only Lebanese restaurant in the area. So if you are craving for some wraps and falafel I will NOT recommend this place as it is overrated...
