Dosa Express has seriously gone down hill since I last visited. Food prices have increased considerably, and although the place has gone through a partial refurb, it was filthy. When we entered just before the dinner rush, tables were filthy, food all over the floor. There were several tables available but we had to wait for one to be cleaned before we could sit. And even after the table was cleaned, the chairs and floor weren't cleaned or wiped down. I was surprised this place has a 4* hygiene rating.
The only redeeming aspect was the speed of service and food. We were waited to in 5 minutes and food was served to the entire party within 20 minutes. We weren't attended to after receiving food, i.e. to check if we needed anything else or if the food was good.

The main good thing about this place are the prices - one of the cheapest restaurants to eat in Wembley. Service is slow and poor - we've been here several time now (mainly because of the food and price), and with each visit the food was either slow to arrive (taking over 30 minutes, which is appalling for a fast food restaurant), or they missed an item from our order.
In terms of food, there is a large variety of dishes on offer, all at very reasonable prices. When the food does arrive, it's hot and fresh. If this place had better service, I would eat here more often. Sometimes you will get your order quicker if you order take-away, instead...
Read moreOne of the best places I ever ate Dosa at. I visited first while they were just a standing place out side a Cash & carry shop. Sp Paneer Masala is their trademark dish. Then i tried lots of other as Mysoor masala, chatni, Ghee Roast (my favorite last dish whenever i visited them), salad dosa and lots of times we just made customized Dosa request and every time they are up to the expectations. I usually having average 3-4 dosas in every visits. I am not big fan of out side eateries but this place is exceptional. Now they have seating area so more convenient place to visit. I admit seating place is not like other expensive restaurants but i will put taste and service over that. Prices are so less, you will feel they charged less or forgotten to count some plates. I always recommend all my friends who are fond of out side eating and even visiting from india where they have millions of options for south indian dishes but all of them yes all of them liked the taste and place. Main chef Anna and main lady usually on counter (may be daughter of Anna), both are more than happy to serve as better way they can do. I would say A+ in taste. Please do visit and support small restaurants and family businesses like this.Highly...
Read moreI went to Dosa Express with my family today, we traveled from Luton to Wembley for Dosas. Worst experience every, we were given a table downstairs as the empty table's upstairs were reserved. We ordered our food as soon as we were sited but the waiters friends and another table got there food well before ours, plus the friends got three rounds of sambar and chuntey, but when we asked we were told the camera's are watching and he would get into trouble so we have to wait until we finish the sambar and chuntey. When the friends got another round of sambar and chuntey which they didn't want the waiter offered it to us. I declined as we were only offered because the friends didn't want it, I was so annoyed by this. About 10 minutes later when we all finished our sambar and chuntey we asked if we could have some more, the waiter took his time talking to his friends asking if they would like anything and talking to the other staff in the kitchen by this time our Dosas were cold and the sambar came COLD. We had been to Dosa Express before and had a lovely experience that is why we traveled all the way to Wembley. The downstairs was loud, noisy...
