Bad communication from dismissive staff, despite poorly made drinks.

On arrival, a waitor stopped the pair in front of us like a bouncer, told them to return to the queue in a shooing tone, only for the maitre d'hotel to sit them down where they were about to sit anyway. Wherever the adminastative need is here, it is coming with inefficiency and rudeness to a pair of people who were waiting for a couple of minutes prior for no good reason, so to sit in a quiet cafe.

Food and drinks were ordered exclusively online, through a slow web app - my vodaphone signal struggled.

£5.50 for an Iced Matcha Late. I ordered "regular dairy" as I'm a cheap git, despite my preference for coconut, and was made to suffer under the waitor's misunderstanding. I was brought "fresh" milk, which was clearly less fresh than anticipated as it leant an unforgivable sourness and chunkiness to the drink. The maitre d did not allow me to conclude my request that "the milk seems a bit off" before dimissing it and dashing off - I really should have been offered a replacement, or ideally a refund based on my partner's drink.

Said partner got an iced chai, apparently sub par to the sam drink at Gails and (apparently) Starbucks.

Nice ambiance, indeed ruining the experience for me. I think people know about this place from instagram, so it's just groomed, vain 20-somethings, couples and mother daughter pairs, and unfortunately the former were the most...

I'm not often pushed to leave negative reviews, but I visited farm girl in notting hill yesterday with a friend who'd seen it online and am a little peeved today. After looking at the pastry cabinet, where the pastries looked nice enough, but were accompanied by a fly buzzing around in there, we opted to order pancakes to share - the baked apple and pear ones sounded delicious. First issue was the fact that the pancakes arrived a solid 10 minutes before our drinks did, and we weren't starting until we'd had our coffee first. Well, the pancakes were fine, sure, they tasted nice, but two pancakes for £15? Come on. Drinks incredibly small - I'm not just looking for things to complain about, I promise, but I ordered a cappuccino which felt more like a cortado. Also, no chocolate on top :( My friend really enjoyed her butterfly latte, though. There was a huge plethora of junk on the table - big chunky plastic signs and such with QR codes or 'no laptops' signs - I just felt a little claustrophobic. The service was fine at first, but after we ordered initially we were continually forgotten, waiting time and time again after asking for the bill. Note - I work in hospitality! I love getting tips and I love tipping good service! But it just wasn't it here. The decor was lovely, as was the exterior area, which make this place instagrammable, sure, but I wouldn't go back for anything. It was cold throughout and the loos weren't in a...

Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this establishment at all. After politely asking if it was possible to accommodate a person with a hearing impairment to turn the (very) loud music down (even a bit), we were brusquely advised by the manager that this would not be done as the owner did not wish this. The manager was unfriendly and the discrimination of a person with an impairment was obvious. The same request in other restaurants and cafes in the following weeks was always greeted with politeness and a willingness to accommodate and was met with utter curtesy by the staff there, which was not the case here. It is a shame that the willingness to acknowledge people with disabilities was so rudely met and we were made to feel as though we were asking something outrageous. I do hope that they will reconsider their position in the future and accommodate disability in a more welcoming way. I would also like to mention that the lavatories were in a pitiful state. They were not only dirty and disgusting but the toilet seats were either loose or the lid was missing, electricity breakers were exposed (in a room with water present!), the windows were filthy and cobwebs were present in every available place for the spiders. the toilet roll holder was broken and the brush was so rusty and filthy, it was quite revolting. The paintwork everywhere was scratched and filthy. Not a pleasant experience altogether,...

Fantastic food, but horrible service. We got here midday on a Friday and had about a 15 minute wait - no big deal and we were able to walk around because they texted us when our table was ready. It's a cute and secluded spot. Even though it's a small dining area, it feels very open. We ended up sitting at the top, at one end of a giant table, with another family at the other end. There was plenty of space between us so it felt like we had our own table anyway. And then it took something like 20 - 30 minutes for them to come take our order. No one came upstairs to take drink orders within that time frame. I even waved at a server downstairs and asked her to take our order but she didn't come up! The other family was getting very impatient as well, and it took one of them going downstairs and grabbing someone for them to take our orders. They were very clearly understaffed that day, not sure if that's the norm everyday. I don't usually get frustrated with wait times, but we were starving and felt like they forgot they put us up there... Anyway, the food was excellent. I got the Picchu Plate and the Butterfly Matcha Latte. Good portions and ingredients. My boyfriend got the Salmon Party and a hot chocolate and those were great as well. I'd probably give this place another go and hope the poor service was a fluke, because the food was damn good.

My friend and I visited the place on the 10th of August 2024. The waiter was very nice and the place looks nice, but that is it. There is nothing else good about it. Their cake and coffee are very average, but no the price, and the person behind the counter, not sure if the cook or manager, is not that nice. I wouldn't return and can't recommend the place. You can find a better place and better price elsewhere, but what really annoys me is someone coming from behind of the counter to tell me that I cannot have my bottle or can of alcohol on the table because they don't have a licence, when I wasn't drinking it, had already ordered and was drinking a capuccino and they don't even sell alcohol there, so why that person has to come all the way outside to annoy me for something that had not to do with her business and when i wasn't drinking in their premises. The only thing I had was the item sitting on the table. I would fully understand if I was drinking it there and not consuming anything there, but I wasn't drinking it and I was drinking their coffee and eating their cake, and I only placed the item on the table as I could have done with a piece of vegetable or a piece of clothe. Just because they don't have the licence to sell clothes I doubt they would come and ask me to put it away. What an annoying woman!
