I was excited to see the Dead Poets Live and booked w upcoming events on separate days.
I am looking forward to both events. For the Monica Dolan event, I was looking at different prices and a code tally added another seat in a different part of theatre. A genuine mistake but my fault. I am not a high wage earner and wasting money on a seat I am never going to use us an issue for me. And if I was able to invite somebody it would be a bit weird to say, but the way you are over there and I am over here.
I have been offered a potential credit but after I have used it, but it has left a bitter taste and I know I will never ever be back at the Coronet. Hey rules are rules and be advised don't make an accident of clicking on something accidentally, because nobody ever makes a mistake, do they? By the way Ms Dolan, I will be the somewhat miserable one who knows they paid double what everybody else paid to...
Read moreI used to love going to The Coronet when it was a cinema so thought I'd pop in as I was passing by to see it's re-imagining - I wish I'd not bothered. The man at front of house/ticket sales really could not be bothered to engage. I went in with curiosity and interest about its new incarnation and his personal relation skills were appalling and rude. Perhaps he felt he had more important things to do than speak to prospective patrons to the venue. An utter shame. I shall not feel inspired to ever go to see a play at this venue. When we see how old London is being destroyed by corporations or cross rails or property developers it's important to always seek out the places that hold some magic or aspiration; sadly this will not be the place where I shall be seeking...
Read moreI came here to see Leenalchi, and the performance area was perfectly suited to them. Quite intimate so I could fully engage with the physical and vocal elements of Korean pansori, and enabling lots of audience interaction.
The rest of the theatre was a quaint maze of corridors, filled with lots of fascinating curios, leading down to a basement bar. The bar had a very good selection of drinks, but no food to speak of. It was also full of curios and lots of different forms of seating. Dimly lit and atmospheric - I almost expected to bump into Sherlock Holmes with his opium pipe. I'm quite tempted to pop in again just to browse the curios and have...
