when i went in at about 4-5 the place was extremely busy and crowded. However, all the staff were incredibly competent and helpful and managed to power through, even when the register broke down, and orders were being taken by hand. notably, the young girl working the till was a little maths whiz, incredibly quick and accurate with cash, whilst simultaneously accommodating the needs of other customers, also a well-versed pianist! (couldn’t help but notice her tapping nocturne on the counter top!) my flat white was slightly on the warmer side than piping hot, though considering the rush it was more than fine and tasted great. seeing as it was practically overflowing with customers it would be unfair to judge the state of the shop, however empty tables were crowded with dirty dishes and the toilets were quite unpleasant, though quickly restocked when asked. there was also a lack of cutlery and many people who had already paid were forced to wait extra for pots to serve their jam and cream. i was exceptionally pleased by the quality of the scones! me and my husband ordered a box of 6 for £18. the nutella swirl was delicious, somewhat on the small side compared to even the original one that cost less. also the wait time was around 30 minutes, however considering all scones are baked in house it was worth the wait! lemon and poppy seed was great, very soft and the icing on top added a lot of flavour. i do recommend going straight home after ordering the scones as the cream doesn’t hold against the weather and we had to...

Scones are quintesentially English and everybody claims to know what a perfect scone should be like. Any place which claims to specialise in Scones is going to be "tried and tAsted". Here, they offer several varieties of scones but only Earl Grey tea and different coffees. No English breakfast tea. This place offers takeaway as well as sit-in. My choice was fruit scone with strawberry jam and no cream. It's all about the scone for me which should be enjoyable on its own if so preferred. The jam was just in case I wanted extra sweetness. The scone was well risen and was able to break it in half at midpoint which I believe indicates good baking. As for the texture, I would have preferred it a bit less dense and a bit more crumbly. I'm glad I had the jam as it certainly made it more tasty and enjoyable. The tea didn't arrive until I went up to the counter to remind them. Strangely enough the scone was cold or rather at room temperature whereas the plate it was served on was warm. Needless to say, I would have been impressed with a warm scone. The accompanying jam was light with a couple of chunks of strawberries in it. It certainly made the scone taste better. There is a seating area in the basement too. It has a fairly quick turnaround of seating customers so you don't wait long time for a table. Cheeky Scones has an informal setting. It was between ÂŁ6-7 for a scone with jam and...

A super cute and well positioned tea and scone shop.

There is a mixture of modern and contemporary decor mixed with stone, brick and rustic furniture. The contrast is very well.thought out and wprks!

Great staff, super service, very clean and tables cleared immediately.

The choice of scones is good. Four types. Cheese scone Plain scone Fruit (sultana) scone Lemon & poppy seed.

They are all baked fresh and are of excellent quality. (I know my scones).

The texture is great airy, amd optimal, they are the right ahade of brown and with angood taste. I much preferred the sultana scones as they were better balanced. The plain scones although ok had a little too much bicarbonate of soda and needed less of this raising agent and a little more sugar. When it is eaten with cream and jam you can't discern this but when alone it becomes clear.

The cream.and jam.portions.are charheable.but the portions are enough so it is worth it.

The music is uptempo and fun, a great place to have a pit stop or meet friends. (Lots of seating downstairs too).

Overall it is good and super, hence the rating and i have logged this in my favourite places. This is a win. I hope rhey expand with more shops and retain...

I had noticed the writing on the window said “all scones come with cream and jam!” And I noted I wanted to come back this way because I love English scones with cream. When we came back a short while later and bought 2, they were boxed up and I asked “do they come with cream and jam?” And the worker said “you have to pay extra” and I said “oh but it says on the window ‘all scones come with cream and jam’” and she said “yes but it’s a different price to have it with cream and jam” and I said “that’s a very misleading sign on the window.” We left and I took a photo of the window. Another staff member came out and explained they used to offer cream and jam with every order but they don’t anymore because some people didn’t want it and said they shouldn’t have to pay for something they aren’t having. After a brief back and forth about how the sign is misleading, he offered to give us some cream and jam. I told him I no longer wanted them and returned them. All scones come with a drink too, if you pay for it. Buy one scone and get another one, if you’d like to buy two… etc.
