Absolutely outstanding Thai food – a real find for us! Unlike many Thai spots in the UK that tone down their flavours and add so much coconut milk, Siam Brasserie serves food that’s boldly authentic and packed with the real taste of Thailand. The flavours are fresh, vibrant, and expertly balanced. I had the Pad Kra Pao , and it was bursting with holy basil, garlic, and chilli – exactly how it should be. The Som Tum (papaya salad) was spicy, tangy, and refreshing, just like the street versions in Bangkok. The jungle curry was just amazing!
The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere has a relaxed, elegant charm. It’s clear the chefs know their craft and aren’t afraid to deliver true Thai heat – a huge plus for anyone who appreciates proper Thai cooking. The Tom Yum soup had just the right amount of sourness and spice, and the prawns were perfectly cooked. Every dish felt like it had been carefully prepared. The whole seabass was perfectly cooked.
If you're after an authentic Thai experience, this is the place. It's easily one of the best Thai meals I've had in the UK – I will absolutely be returning. Five stars for flavour, authenticity, and overall experience. Highly recommended for spice lovers and Thai food purists!
The jelly beans with the bill were also a nice touch.
It's easy to miss in Battersea, but once you find it,...
Read moreThis was okay. Being my latest local I’m keen to support this new business and I had hoped it would have been a bit better than it was. There is stiff competition in the area so definitely some room for improvement.
Here’s my balanced review of our order:-
No complimentary crackers as I tend to expect on a £40 order Chicken Satay was good Prawn Tempura was mega greasy and too heavily bartered. Ribs did not look too appetising and lacked marinade but were actually quite tasty. They would have been great if properly marinated. Shredded duck was tasty enough, just the meat to fat ratio was very off. Sweet & Sour chicken wasn’t very good. The chicken was nice but the sauce tasted a bit like tomato soup. Green Thai Curry was very nice. Garlic Rice I really enjoyed.
We’ll definitely give it another try...
Read moreHave ordered from here a few times on Uber Eats (one of their most popular Thai options - 3,000+ reviews 4.6 stars) and recently, on my way home, decided to pop in to get a takeaway.
Food was reliably tasty, as ever, and great value for money - which can be hard to find in an increasingly and disproportionately expensive city - but what I wanted to mention (aside from the good food/price etc) was Nick who seemed to be the owner and a really kind and gentle man. The restaurant seems like it's family run, which these days for me is a win.
If you're thinking of a takeaway though, consider going to the restaurant (like pre-covid), the food and service will be warm and friendly and they deserve to have a busy restaurant too. I'm sure they'd love to see...
