I love croissants and I tried many in South Kensington, but none compare to the quality of the croissants at Filo. They are crispy on the outside and soft in the inside. Two of my favorites are Croque Monsieur and the Pistachio and Raspberry croissants.
The Croque Monsieur has slices of turkey and a special handmade cheese that if you ask them to warm it for you, it will just melt in your mouth. You'll love it!
I am not a fan of turkey meat, but this turkey meat doesn't taste like turkey. It tastes like a nice moist slice of ham. The combination of the handmade cheese, turkey and the crispiness of the croissant is to die for.
The Pistachio and Raspberry Croissant is also amazing. They slice it in half and inside you will be delighted by a heavenly, pistachio almond cream, raspberry gel, caramelised pistachios, pistachio ganache, whilst the outside is topped with pistachio almond cream, roasted pistachio amd sesame tuile.
I also tried their sticky cinnamon bun with an intriguing flavor. I won't reveal its mysterious flavor. You will just have to pop in and taste it!
Filo is now one of my favorite hang outs as it has the perfect croissants, the perfect capuchino and an amazing staff always ready to greet me with a smile every time I stop by.

August 1st update regarding the merchant's response: This is a very dishonest shop. The merchant's response made me very angry. It was a very bad experience. I am not the only one who had additional tips added without consent, which shows that they are repeat offenders. The store's surveillance can prove that there was clearly no service and no inquiry asking if I was willing to pay a tip, yet they deceitfully added it and even lied saying I agreed to it. It is really dishonest. Regardless of whether the tip is £1.44 or £144, it should not be deceitfully taken from customers without their knowledge, which is unethical behavior. Moreover, since I don't live in London, how can I come back to get the tip refunded? With such an attitude, I don't dare to come back. Can you ensure my safety? This café's behavior is utterly disgraceful. I only bought two cups of coffee and one cinnamon bun, sat for about five minutes, and received no service at all. Yet, they charged me £1.44 for a service fee. The most disgusting part is that they automatically added a tip and didn't even offer a receipt. After paying, I had to ask for the receipt, and only then did I see that I was overcharged with an additional 12.5% service fee. The UK typically includes service charges in the menu prices and doesn't have a tipping culture. Isn't it disgusting to shamelessly scam customers for a service fee? Especially when the coffee and pastry were just mediocre.

We had the sharing platter which was absolutely delish 😋 I had a pistachio latte which was amazing. We shared a cinnamon bun and I think it's one of the best I've ever had. My partner and I like a cinnamon bun, we've eaten a lot in our time but the one from here is unlike any I've had before, in a good way! The topping was orange cream cheese which I've never seen on a cinnamon bun before! These guys are doing something different! My pics are quite red because we sat by this really cool sign 😂
We also got some goodies to take away, there were other things we wanted to try! My partner opted for some baklava, and I had a tiramisu danish. Both incredible! We also got to try their mushroom and truffle pastry! Pictured is my half 😁 as a bit of a truffle fiend I was super happy with this!
Nothing was too much trouble and they were very generous, we were very well looked after! I'm actually really sad we aren't local, we may try and squeeze in another visit before...
