Hi there,
I just wanted to give you feedback based on our experience Friday evening.
First. I tried to order online for the 20% discount. This was difficult as there was no field to input the code. Turns out this was because I was collecting from your Kennington location and I later worked out that I needed to delete the collection 10% discount code first (which had been automatically applied). Fair enough but how could I know that. In the meantime when I called for help, no one could help me and refused to give the 20% discount over the phone quoting company policy and that they had no way in the system of doing this. fortunately I stumbled upon the solution. You should change this and give your staff more freedom. The point if an introductory offer is for potential customers to try you out, love it, and become regular customers - nobody cares if the rules have to be broken slightly.
Second. I enjoyed your duck rolls. However, paying £6.00 is too much. Maybe £4.95. Or maybe if it had a better quality sauce. The sweet and sour pork was good at only £7 = Winning. The prawn, spring onion & ginger dish was really bad; a very small portion (quite a bit less than the S&S pork FYI). It was soggy as if it had been cooked an hour earlier and reheated. Also the ginger was exceptionally strong. And for £12 = really couldn't believe it.
Anyway. Sorry to be blunt but thought you should know. Kennington has a discerning customer base that is screaming for a better quality oriental...
Read moreI went here with my gf for dim sum, I really enjoyed it and it seems to Dona good trade delivering food to quite the demand I saw a number of chaps pick up food. The dim sum was fresh tasting, it was very tasty and I at times underestimated how temperature hot it would be and I had to wait for to to cool down. I am from Hong Kong and I was impressed by the food. The ribs had a lovely sauce they had this melt in your mouth tender meat. The siu Mai well made and freshly made. The crispy pork belly bao was lovely due to the skin being so tasty and crispy in a white bao. The cuttlefish cakes were so enjoyable I ordered two plates. The pork dumplings were very well filled. They only didn't have anything sweet that I would recommend as the fried milky bars was out of stock. Excellent service the ladies there were so nice and polite. They made sure we were well taken care of for lunch. I really enjoyed myself and so did my English gf. If you enjoyed my review and found it helpful please press like. Thank...
Read moreFirecracker is my favourite place to eat and before we moved to Spain, we would eat here once a week at least. They have most authentic food and every dish is absolutely amazing. I was devastated when they shut down after we moved but I am now ecstatic they are open again. The char Siu buns are the best I have ever had, nowhere else compares. All their dishes and superb, especially the spring rolls (vegetable and duck) I have never had a bad meal here and highly, highly recommend it. The lady that runs Firecracker is extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The service is always impeccable. I wish I could rate it higher than 5 star! Welcome back...
