I never really write a review but I have to say this was so bad and I was overcharged for below average food that I'm sitting here furious enough to write a review!
To begin We ordered two portions of rice and two portions of beef steak with tea. I was disappointed with the quality of the rice, it was very wet in texture as if it was overcooked, drowned in water and it didn't taste nice. The quality of the rice was something you would make and eat at home on a lazy day and you cooked in a rush. The beef steak was ok but bit chewy however it lacked flavour. The way I asked for two separate plates was ignored instead the food was served in a metal dish that looked like something you would get served in prison. The whole presentation and taste of the dish was disappointing especially with serving a huge amount of tasteless/plain chemical tasting salad on the side (didn't even cut it properly or garnish it)...no effort was put into that salad and I wouldn't even feed it to a rabbit or a rat.
The tea came out lukewarm and it was average to say the least. I don't really have to say anymore. To think I went to sabiib before coming here but the queue was too long to wait and I was hungry and craving Somali food that I regret not going home hungry because charging me £25 for that prison food was ludicrous. Not having a menu to see prices and choices is very tacky and unprofessional, my stomach was so offended that I left feeling angry that I wasted £25 on something that tasteless and poorly presented.
I think you should rename your restaurant to food prison, definitely not a palace! Food fit for prisons because that's the effort that was...

This is a place for guys to go to. It's just one of those hangouts for guys. However I've eaten there before when a family came and they partitioned a section for the sake of the women who really appreciated the extra privacy.
The management are very friendly and accommodating even though they speak broken English...the warmth came through.
I can't stress enough, if you don't care about aesthetics, come here or get takeaway. You won't be disappointed. My children love...
