The Kings Head Pub — Restaurant in London

Heidi was great, made us good drinks and was super friendly. The staff was great too, everyone was nice. The live singer was talented and I enjoyed it. The restaurant itself is clean and aesthetically pleasing.

However, the purpose of reviews is to provide constructive criticism so here's what I feel would have made our experience better..

A) The food took WAY too long to come out (over an hour) and all the plates for a party of 9 came out over 20 mins - 1 hour apart, which meant I had to eat alone and we didn't all get to eat together as a group. B) They didn't collect the dirty plates/dishes until the end , so it was unfortunate we had to sit there and look at dirty plates while we enjoyed each other's company. C) The live music was intermittent, not really a real session ..mostly we just watched music videos on TV. D) If I were to ever come back there would have to be a guarantee that the service will be faster. The restaurant has A LOT of potential but everything just took...

We were 3 travellers. We booked a room at the King's head Hotel. For one night I paid £80. It was an instant booking. They charged £20 for security deposit that is refundable. They don't serve breakfast, their lifts don't work so it's a manual work up the stairs.

Room: we loved the room 5/5. It was spacious and very comfortable including the bathroom. There is a good supply of hot water. It was super warm inside.

The ladies at the reception was super nice. The gentleman was nice too when we checked in initially. He helped us up the steps with the luggage.

The building was pretty too, the neighborhood is self sufficient. The hotel has Morrison supermarket behind. So you can get your food items around. The hotel has a pub attached where you can sit and just chill by yourself. It's basically a partly self service hotel but comfortable for short and reasonable stays.

The roads can get noisy since its the main road but you can get a good sleep in your room.

I recently visited Kings head with friends for dinner and some drinks. Unfortunately, our experience was far from welcoming. Shortly after we finished eating dinner a waitress approached and bluntly informed us that we had to vacate the table because it was “booked.” His tone was curt and dismissive, making us feel rushed and unwelcome despite being paying customers.

While we understand that tables may be reserved, the way it was handled was unprofessional and rude. There was no polite request or apology, just an abrupt instruction to leave, which left a negative impression on what should have been a relaxed evening. A little courtesy and clearer communication about seating arrangements would go a long way in improving the customer experience.
