We were lucky enough to win a 3 course meal for 4 people on their instagram and we couldn’t have been more impressed! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance, setting the stage for a culinary adventure. Galata Pera is a hidden gem in Brentford, offering a delightful taste of authentic Turkish cuisine (now my favourite food). The menu boasts an enticing array of dishes, featuring traditional Turkish favourites alongside innovative creations. I highly recommend starting with the two mezze platters, a delightful assortment of cold and hot appetizers that perfectly capture the essence of Turkish culinary artistry. Each bite is a symphony of flavors and textures, leaving you wanting more! For the main course, we opted for the mixed grill, prawn shish and yogurtlu lamb shish which was cooked to perfection, all retaining their tenderness and juicy flavor. The accompanying rice and salad perfectly complemented the dish, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. We then savoured the baklava. The sweetness was balanced perfectly with the subtle nutty notes, making it an irresistible treat. We also enjoyed their rice pudding which was outstanding! Galata Pera is not just about the food; it's about the entire dining experience. The attentive staff, the warm atmosphere, and the passion for Turkish cuisine make this restaurant a true gem. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or simply seeking a taste of authentic Turkish flavors, Galata Pera is a must-visit destination. Overall, I highly recommend Galata Pera for anyone seeking an authentic Turkish dining experience. The food is exceptional, the service is impeccable, and the ambiance is inviting. It's a true gem in Brentford that deserves to be savored. We will be back!

A short walk from the high street brings you to this river-side located restaurant serving delicious Turkish food. On arrival we received a really warm welcome by all the staff and then offered a choice of tables. The restaurant was just over half full with couples and a couple of tables with family enjoying a night out. We have had a number of take-away meals here in the past, but decided to eat-in on this occasion and we were not disappointed. We shared a mixed cold meze comprising 6 different items, all really fresh and delicious, I particularly like Kisir (made from bulgar wheat with herbs, tomatoes, spring onions and peppers. Dressed with olive oil and lemon juice, also Patlican Soslu (a mixture of cooked aubergines, green and red peppers served in a tomato sauce) with a generous basket of bread with a topping of sesame seeds. We followed our starter with Chicken Shish Kebab with rice. The meat was soft and juicy and full of flavour. The staff were extremely friendly, service was good and prices were good value given the generous portion sizes. The restaurant is a bit hidden away, but persevere, it is worth seeking out for experience delicious freshly cooked, well presented food. In the summer there are are few outside tables with views over a basin with boats and River Thames and Kew. The restaurant has be operating in the area for over 10 years and also offers a takeaway service if you don’t want go out and always delivers promptly.

Firstly, it's a very pretty restaurant with very nice people. It's not huge and the tables are nicely apart to provide some privacy when talking. Another great thing is that it doesn't have a huge number of items on the menu which is always a good sign that the restaurant offers a specialised number of dishes rather than a huge number of mediocre dishes. Now to the food itself. Unfortunately, I was expecting something better. The taboula salad is not the same as you would get at a Lebanese restaurant. Why would a Turkish restaurant include this, is not something I understand. The falafel is another example of a dish that is not Turkish and unfortunately, not middle Eastern taste or texture. The Adana kebab was not bad and I would give it a thumbs up as a choice. However, the hummus and the bread was really nice. It's bread thats not your conventional flat bread and regular bread and goes really well with hummus. Overall, it's not a bad restaurant for anyone who isn't overly familiar with Turkish food but if you're someone who is super critical of your dishes, then you may find the dishes a little lack luster. I will be going back at some point to try other dishes. Finally, it's not an easy place to find as it's not visible from the main road and Google maps will bring you to a dead end. At the location, park your car in the underground car park and walk down either Ferry Lane and turn right or Town Meadow and turn left. Both roads are very quiet and you may not feel comfortable walking down them late in the evening, but it leads you to the river and that's where the restaurant is.

Sorry but I don’t know what to say first of all it was my mistake choosing these restaurant from all other restaurants I am used to go to like Mulana in ealing is the best reasonable prices very nice food Here my mistake I didn’t look at the prices then the waiter he didn’t explain to me that it will be too much for two people Bahesht as well has Meze for family as well and doesn’t exceed £14 for family In this restaurant they charge £20 but from the beginning I was wondering why is empty you don’t have to book because it’s not much people going there now I have an idea I tried to speak to the owner over it but he couldn’t accept that we said the rice tasted horrible taste like boiled in Maggi chicken cube water and he’s saying that people asking for recipe 😂 Good luck to everyone but nothing wrong with a try as long as if you’re not happy don’t go back That’s £39.80 without drink Usually when you finish eat and you ask for coffee the house gave you sweets free we asked for Baklawa they gave us 3 small peaces for £5.50 🤣🤣🤣 We have been in Royal Mawab very nice everything Same as Sahara city perfect Mulana / Bahesht edgeware road restaurant but first time I feel I was punished 🤣🤣🤣 Over priced and the last placed to look at for dining out Think 10 times before you decide to go there 😜 Good morning everyone just want to say that I got sick from the food then I keep drinking fennel tea only without any other food to help get red of the food from my body 🤮🤢

I had an amazing experience at Galata Pera. I couldn't recommend it enough, and I will be returning as soon as I can. My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant for my birthday. The layout and decor in the restaurant are beautiful. As you come in, there is a huge, open fire stove, where the chefs are grilling meat and skewers. The main dining area is calm and peaceful, with clean white table cloths and long curtains draping the windows, which look out onto the marina. There are stars on the ceiling, and religious iconography on the walls. The food was top tier. We were provided with soft, fresh bread when we sat down. For starters, we opted for the falafel and hummus, and also a lamb topped hummus. We also had a crispy calamari. The falafel and hummus were perfectly fried. The crumb was light and crispy with a perfectly cooked middle. For mains were choose the lamb iskender, which was my absolute favourite. Soft meat and croutons, slathered in a rich tomato gravy. We also had a mixed grill with a side of rice. We had a lovely waitress, who brought our baklava out with a birthday candle on top :) A lovely evening, thank you, Galata Pera!
