It's a hidden gem, maybe more so now than before. The Brewery Tap is smack in the heart of the Brentford Project and so it is easy to miss but if you're in the area, it's just a few steps away (with a little maneuvering amongst building constructions) from the Morrisons along High Street.
What we loved about this non-presumptuous pub is you really feel like it's a a pub of the locals, of the community. It has a quaint 'Of the Past' vibe to it and the vibe carries over from the outside facade to the inside decor, from the hanging winter lights to the mismatched chairs, sofas and wobbly tables.
Inside you are greeted by friendly staff (or owners, we were not sure) . They have the usual lagers (London Pride for my husband) and make the classic cocktails (very well-executed Negroni for me).
I rated the food five stars even though I do not think they have actual food but there is a sign that says you can get food delivered to their pub and enjoy it inside which is a great plus!
They apparently do a lot of live music nights so do check that out. I rather like the place for early afternoon drinks before it gets too busy, the coziness is just beyond!
Overall a great place to chill and spend some time with friends and family! We will for sure come...
Read moreA hidden gem in a quiet spot at the back of Brentford. We came for pizza (on multiple occasions now) and stayed for the ambiance and friendly community vibes.
The pub is family and dog friendly, so expect to see a few cute puppers around! They have great indoor and outdoor space (the outdoor space is to the front of the pub) and is particularly pretty at night with the overhead lights.
Their new pizza residency has delicious new york style pizza. You can get two slices for £7 or a 18" starts at £24 for a Marg (when sharing between 2 people makes for a affordable option) There's a variety of add ons and dips to choose from to make it your own - The maple chipotle dip being my favourite. They can also accommodate for half & half on 18"s too for the best of both!
Great pub and playlist to match (with live music on...
Read moreUsed to think this was a great backstreet pub to come to for decent beer and music until I went there on a Friday night with my mate. As we were sitting minding our own business, the landlord says with us and proceeded to take issue with myself in particular. Made me feel extremely on edge and unwelcome, even when I offered my hand and asked him what his problem was. After that was very strange and acted as though he was joking all along, then proceeded to take issue with me once again. Don’t know whether he was just very drunk or extremely bipolar. We left swiftly and I won’t be coming back. There are a lot of better choices in the area. But if you want rubbish conversation with an overly aggressive psychotic landlord, then this is the...
