The food was great and we had a lovely chat with one of the staff who was lovely and helpful. However, the meal was ruined by the woman at the till who was incredibly rude. Without even acknowledging my presence she decided to drop in some casual sexism by trotting out that hackneyed, patronising and false line, ‘men can’t do two things at once’ to my partner. Their juices and cakes are good but I ordered the açai bowl last week and it was absolutely terrible. There was absolutely no açai in it at all, it was just a banana smoothie bowl poured on top of a layer of DRIED unflavoured oats that tasted like sawdust. Went in for a smoothie açai was horrible and brown not vibrant and the fruit not fresh. I never waste food but we actually through them in the bin it was that bad. The staff have weren’t particularly cheerful either 😑. Guess we took a chance even though we were slightly suspicious of why it was sooo quiet in there, no customers on a lovely summers day in a busy city should have been a huge giveaway.
