This little place, inside the garden centre at Fulham Palace is a gem. Clean, bright and airy, with friendly, helpful staff who seem to care about what they serve. We were delighted to find that they serve organic sodas. We asked which sweetners are in them and the guy serving was proud to show them to us and to be able to say that they are organic and only contain natural ingredients. I went here twice, they have delicious coffee and breakfast options. However, the second time I encountered a hygiene issue where a barista was adjusting the espresso shot with their bare hands while preparing a coffee for a client as well as handling other tasks without cleaning their hands in between. I asked them why not using a specific brush for the espresso shot, they replied as this is a fine method and no need to change it. Not sure if this is the norm around this area, however, I have seen mutlipe barista with all the tools they need to prepare a shot, and none of these tools included the usage...
Read more£15.10 for a latté the size of an espresso, a ‘Refresh’ fruit juice, so refreshingly bitter that the 11 year didn’t drink it, and a morsel of dry carrot cake. SO SO MEAN! Of course the atmosphere is ‘very nice’… but either they overcharged me or they just whack those prices in to justify the shipload of staff, eager to look busy in their branded sweatshirts…. and because they know the majority of their vacuous ‘Made in Chelsea customers don’t care.
