I’ve been here a couple of times but lately the service is been going down the hill. I came with my husband and 2 friends to celebrate Mother’s Day, my first Mother’s Day. We booked a table and came in on time, despite of seeing other kids inside they were not happy when we came in with a trolley but I thought I was just imagine things when I seen their faces ( same thing happened on my last visit which I’ll describe on at the end. We had our orders, the waiter was very inpacient which is understandable even though they weren’t at full capacity, had 4 empty tables in the back. So we had our food which was delicious as always. We were ordering things as we went a long and wanted to order more but we were surprised with our plates being collected before I could finish it as I was feeding my baby as I was eating and with the bill right after. The basically kicked us out and when I’ve asked the assistant manager why they were rushing out he said “ because of Mother’s Day we are very busy so we let people come in eat and get out as we have too many bookings” we were there for about 1 hour and 40 min, I’ve left without desert which is usually my favorite. We felt like cattle being told to eat quick and get out. Also they don’t have a changing table for babies, music was very loud (trick to make people eat and leave) not a family friendly business, what shame. The food was good but the service was despicables.
The time before that me and my husband came in for dinner and the guy stopped us at the door saying they were fulled booked and if we didn’t have reservation we could not come in. So I went online and reserved a table and he got really upset but let us in. We only insisted and it was really could outside and we were very hungry…. We understood at the time that they were busy and that’s why the service wasn’t so good as they only had 1 waiter, but this time they had a manager, assistant manager and 2 waiters which should more than enough for a place that big, speaking from experience as I’ve been a waitress and restaurant manager before…. It’s a shame, I used to like the place and recommend it to friends. We are definetly...

I arrived at Grilandia with the aims of a surprise birthday dinner for my partner. I had quickly explained to the owner (Karina) that my partner wasn't to know we'd be expecting more guests and had given Karina a cake to bring out in the end. Excited by the sound of a birthday, Karina offered to add sparklers and a birthday playlist to really add to the surprise.
From there, Karina delivered on what was an incredible surprise birthday for my partner. The restaurant decor was beautiful, all the dishes were delicious, (particularly the crunchy but fluffy falafels and the to-die-for succulent chicken), and the service was immaculate with the servers always tending to our requests. It's safe to say my partner was extremely ecstatic with the surprises and I can't thank Karina enough for coordinating it the way she did.
At the end of it all, I was planning to pay the most deserving service fee I've ever paid (and I always opt out service fees lol) but instead Karina placed a 20% discount purely as a token gift for my partners birthday.
Dining at Grilandia today really showed me how much this owner cares about her customers and ultimately to give her customers the best experience possible, a trait that is very hard to find from business owners of today.
If you like being served by kind hearted genuine people, see incredible decorum, and eat delicious food for value well above it's worth, you'll find nothing closer to the experience you'll get...
Read moreVery disappointed with my visit recently. They offer vegan dishes but I really don't think they know what vegan means based on my recent experience.
I went midweek without a booking and got a table immediately. The waiter was clearly very inexperienced, wasn't very able to communicate, didn't know the menu very well and it was a struggle from the outset.
They didn't have multiple items on the menu including drinks.
We ordered 2x vegan set menus. The waiter read back 'vegetarian set menu' and we corrected him but it was a concern because he didn't understand the difference.
Multiple dishes did not come when they were supposed to. We were given a rice dish and it smelt like dairy butter. I asked if it was dairy and another waiter said, no but it might be butter. Which was concerning..... understanding dietary requirements from all staff in my opinion is imperative simply because of allergies etc.
The food was okay but the service was so poor it spoilt any good experience.
They did offer a discounted bill but it was still not cheap. It was an expensive meal especially for one that we did not enjoy.
I personally feel like this restaurant offers vegan dishes to attract anyone who eats a vegan diet without actually understanding what it is and how to offer it effectively as a good option.
The restaurant is decorated very nicely. The staff are generally very friendly. It was let down by the...
