Our family went to eat 2 days and the experience was just very disappointing. We arrived 15 mins earlier and the doors were open but we were told we could not come in. I asked if we could use the toilet as my sister is right months pregnant but wee were told we needed to wait. We did understand but the manners were not the best. We tend to go to pizzas express for the lasagne, that is why we ordered 4/5 lasagnes between 7 people. We finished ordering everything and we asked for everything together as we wanted to eat together because this was for a special occasion and then we would be going to the cinema. After 15 mins approximately they brought the couple of starters we ordered and then 5 mins later we were told that there was only one lasagne. This was upsetting because if we were told this beforehand we would have gone somewhere else. This was expressed by my sister and the only response we got from the waitress was "they just told me now". Not being apologetic or understanding our situation. We put in a situation to basically being force to order something else because our cinema tickets was 45mins after. My cousin ended up ordering just another starter which took another 20mins and even longer for the mains. My cousin's daughter had to take away the pizza because we did not have time. Meanwhile when we asked for water, bill or anything else we felt the customer services was very unprofessional because of the attitude they had towards our table. We did not do anything wrong and we appreciate being the first customer of the day if something is not available we should have been told.
Hopefully the customer service improves in Pizza express Wimbledon because we did not have similar experiences in other pizza express...
Read moreLove Pizza Express but hadnât been to this branch before. So went there last night 08/01 around 8pm thinking it would be quiet. The atmosphere was ruined by two small kids misbehaving, crying loudly. What was surprising was what such small kids were doing in a restaurant so late at night and to make things worse the parents werenât making the slightest efforts to ask them to behave themselves?! Instead of apologizing for the noise, the dad (bald guy with a moustache) made a mocking face and gesture to those disapproving of the noise which was disrupting a peaceful evening meal for people in the restaurant?! Utterly shocking lack of parenting and manners in a public space.
Needless to say it was a total relief when they left! The service was good. The food wasnât spectacular - one of the pizzas was too cheesy and overcooked whereas the other hardly had any cheese on it. Lesson learnt, will be continuing to go to the branch in the Village for a better - more âpeacefulâ and âclassierâ atmosphere and not this branch again as there is no guarantee of a quiet and peaceful meal here, whatever the...
Read moreI will not be visiting this place again. Our waiter was not too bad in the beginning. We ordered our starters and main with no worries. After we ate, we waited for about 40 minutes before we got the attention of another waiter to ask if we can order dessert. (Our original waiter sat down to eat his dinner) Once my friends ordered their dessert, we asked for the bill and the bill came with a service charge. As we were a group of 7, we understood that the service charge was included in the bill total. However, as the service we received was not great, we asked to remove the service charge as we spoke with the manager. The manager had an attitude when we asked this and didn't even apologise for the bad service. He gave us a new bill. By this time it was 11.00 when the restaurant was closing. When we were paying, our original waiter processed our payments, he too had an attitude and I guess this was because we were still in the restaurant at closing time. I don't blame him but at the same time, we were waiting for a while to order our last meal. Nevertheless, the service was not good and we were...
