Anokha — Restaurant in London

Okay soo this place has literally AMAZING FOOD and the prices are really good. But the service is bad. We went in around 21:10 on Friday. we sat down and try to decide what to eat.

We asked for a wine and in our suprise he said "We don't sell any alcohol but you can go outside and buy" To be honest that was a very strange thing to do in a restaurant but we said okay. thwre was an off license store next to it so we bought a wine.

I came back at 21:30 We order our food and 10 minutes later he comes back and said we are going to close at 10:30 so you need to eat fast. we thought that was very rood to say especially when we searched the restaurant at google maps it says we are open until 23:00.

Anw most ouf us finish eating around 22:10 and he rushed to take our plate even though our friend didn't finish his plate and the moment he put his fork down the waiter grabbed the plate.

If you wanted to close early then you should tell your customers before entering the restaurant not after and then demanding to eat faster so...

Took it upon reviews and payed my visit to Anokha with friends. The food was exquisite and the prices were beyond reasonable. The staff on the other hand were unproffessional, rushing us to leave even though the restaurant closes at 11pm. We were having our last bite and they were just taking the plates from us, it was VERY weird !! Plus it looks like this place doesn't serve any alcoholic drinks and you should bring your own, it was so bizarre when they said to us that we should go buy from somewhere else but without giving any explanation about their policy..(please mind that there was no information regarding this on the internet. ) We were new visitors and they should atleast explain or tell upon arrival or even prior when you are calling for a booking.

Never the less, the food was amazing, their service skills though should use some training because it takes away from the whole experience, and the food doesnt...

I ordered last week and food was very nice, albeit a bit too salty. Yesterday, as a birthday treat, I reordered some identical menu items, plus a few different ones. Oh, the food was so not the same. So not similar, that it was definitely a different chef. Barely edible. The onions bajis were tiny, oily and burnt. Two prawn curries were so watery, and one so extremely salty. All three nan breads burnt. One was the incorrect bread. I ordered cheese garlic chilli. I received a very dry, thin and super crispy garlic and coriander nan. Very old and must have been yesterdays. The salad had a dried up slice of cucumber. When I picked this piece up, it was so slimy. Totally gross. Old prepared salad. Like last time. Bread and bajis were cold. Other food hot. Due to such drastic inconsistencies, I shall not be ordering again. Such a shame, as whoever made the food last week, especially for the bread,...
