Hanoi Bistro & Kitchen — Restaurant in London

I pass this place everyday on the way home from work and have never been. My partner and I decided to go for a quick dinner before catching a movie at Hackney Picturehouse, and we were so impressed! My partner even said it may have been the best vietnamese he’s had in London.

I got the tofu Tom Yum Soup, he got the sizzling prawn and we split the seafood starters platter. It was more than enough food for the two of us. The tofu soup was so good I said ‘wow’ after my first bite. His prawn was delicious too - plump juicy prawns with fragrant coconut, lemongrass and nuts.

Me and my friend just tried the best Vietnamese food in London. I must say this will be the restaurant to go whenever I’m craving for Viet food. The food in this restaurant is very popular among Vietnamese in London. Their Pho is so tasty as broth was described as it was simmer for so long. Their char-grilled pork chop was great too, it is very well seasoning. The place was full when I came but the lovely waiter still managed to find me a place to sit in. This restaurant should definitely deserved a higher recognition for its great food and service. Will come back...

Had really high hopes for this restaurant. However, sadly, it did not really live up to expectations. The food was acceptable, but far what other reviews would lead you to believe. If you're not well versed in Vietnamese cuisine, then i can understand how you would rave about this place. For an experienced vietnamese diner, it's just not quite there. Additionally the staff mis-sold us on one of the dishes, saying it was 'bun cha Hanoi' but when it was served, it was clearly more like a 'bun thit nuong'. Regrettably, i doubt we will be...
