HAWELI OF DISAPPOINTMENT!!! If you are a first-time visitor going for buffet and wish to avoid disappointment,  kindly read the entire review. My husband and I decided to visit the restaurant for the Sunday lunch buffet after reading so many positive comments and reviews. As I saw people raving about the Sunday lunch buffet, I was excited and hopeful. Our eyes were drawn to six chafing dishes in the buffet area as soon as we took our seats. I thought the chafing dishes were just for starters and that the main course would be served separately. I was disappointed to discover that those six chafing dishes were for non-veg starters and main courses, including rice. Buffets are supposed to be full of variety. There was no variety. Below are the total number of items in the buffet: Veg starters: Not-so-fresh onion bhaji and vegetable samosa Non-veg starter: overcooked tandoori chicken coated with artificial red colour Veg mains: Saag aloo, Pindi chana, and Mixed vegetable Non-veg mains: keema aloo, butter chicken, and chicken balti Rice dish: Only pulao Sides: papadom and salad THERE WERE NO DESSERTS, NO YOGHURT or RAITA NO LIVE COUNTER NO CHAAT NO CHINESE ITEMS For 3-4 items, I don't believe it's worth spending 15 pounds per person. Most terrible buffet I have eaten in my entire life.

My experience was whole in whole a positive one! The waiter Mr Khalil Ahmed’s kindness, attention to detail, prompt service, and genuine care for guests truly set him apart as an outstanding waiter. His ability to anticipate needs, offer thoughtful recommendations, and ensure every aspect of the meal is perfect reflects his deep commitment to excellence. It is no exaggeration to say that his service has been among the very best I have ever experienced in any restaurant. Haweli Restaurant is fortunate to have Mr. Khalil Ahmed as part of their team. I very much enjoyed the food and great atmosphere! A clean well kempt restaurant with a brilliant vibe. The dishes were full of authentic flavors, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service was excellent — friendly and attentive without being overbearing. One of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine! I tryed the mushroom vegan and the family tryed the grill. The grill could use with a little more moisture however still lovely and the naan were outstanding’

HALAL STATUS: Fully Halal food menu • Alcohol served. Having been around since 1985, Haweli is as much a part of Ealing as any other establishment. In fact, you could say it's become somewhat of a landmark. And with three experienced chefs - one Bangladeshi (head chef), one Nepali, and the other Gujrati - boasting well over half a century of combined wisdom, including a restaurateur with decades of knowledge, Haweli continues to be as influential a restaurant as any other in the area. Currently rated No.1 out of 44 restaurants in Ealing on Tripadvisor, the food presented us during this review was consistently good. Their diligent use of a traditional coal-based tandoor meant some exquisite charring achieved across all their grilled dishes. What's more, the new owner has introduced dishes you won't typically find at other Indian curry houses. Needless to say, with such credentials, you'll be leaving Haweli entirely satisfied.

We had very horrible experience with restaurant staff . So celebrate birthday of our twin special need kids we booked table for 9 people for 20:00p.m on Saturday the 26/04/24. When we reached it was heavily raining so we entered the restaurant 5 min before time . As soon as we entered we saw member of staff preparing the round table outside area. He looked at us but continued with his work without greeting us . One of my twin special need daughter entered in inside area where some people predominantly English white were waiting to be served . I realised that it was private event so I rushed to take out my daughters from there . She resisted as she is special need people looked at me and I sad to them she is special need and sorry for this . They said it’s okey . It seemed they didn’t mind it knowing I was trying to take her out . Mean while another member of staff rushed to me and said can you take her out people are complaining. As it was all in front of me I know no body complained it was pure lie . I was so shocked and embarrassed as being rudely forced out that I started dragging my daughter and then for resisting she slept on the floor and then I had to drag her out in distressed condition . I was so fuming with the rude and discriminatory behaviour of this unprofessional staff and probably racial staff that we decided to leave without dining . When this was happening an English gentleman entered and he was welcomed and greeted in a friendly manner by the staff . There was no sign so we couldn’t figure out that disabled/special need people are not allowed there . After this my daughter was so distressed that she kept crying and throughung tantrums. It took us couple of hours to calm her down and settle her . Until then she was crying . We then rushed to another restaurant as it was already too late that staff welcomed us greeted as and on knowing that we have 2 special need kids they not only arranged a table for us but also said that in that restaurant special need kids eat free. This is our first ever horrible experience in London that special need kids and we accompanying them were badly badly treated . My suggestion to all is to avoid embarrassment and discrimination if you have special need kids and/or if you are not English white avoid...

I have been going to this place for many years.

I often go with my friends but mostly with my family for both the à la carte during the week and the buffet on Sundays.

The food is always delicious, hence we frequent the place so often and for so many years now.

The Tandoori chicken is always really succulent and thoroughly marinated rather than just coated. The butter chicken really is spectacular as well as the vegetarian dishes.

I particularly like the biryani both lamb and chicken, so normally I would go for that and use it as my rice dish to accompany my curries.

Having said that even just a normal pilau rice is perfectly cooked and great too.

The food has always been piping hot, and you can speak to the really friendly staff there to either make the dishes more mild or spicy.

The service is tremendous and they have had the same guys work there for ever since I can remember. For me that’s always a good sign.

Because we frequent the place so often the owner and the head chef Islam always come out to our table to say hello personally, and we find that extremely touching and respectful.

It shows that they truly value their customers, and they always make an effort to go the extra step.

But it’s not just for us, we can see on the tables around us that if somebody wants something slightly different they are always happy to do it for them.

I really do recommend this place.

Personally I believe it is the best restaurant in the whole area if you like curries and Indian style food.

The decor inside and all the furniture is also extremely inviting and it looks and feels like a fine dining restaurant.

It has obviously had a lot of money spent on it recently as well when they did a refurbishment even though it was still nice before.

Easily 5 stars.

Thank you guys at Haweli for always making such a pleasurable dining experience...

Haweli of Ealing Written 05/12/22

absolutely disgusted Dec 2022 Tam absolutely disgusted at the experience at your restaurant last night because of how unkind and rude the chef was to my daughter. He was walking around the room speaking to customers. He then approached our table and was speaking to my 8 year daughter whilst she was eating and told her she needs to walk and not run up and down and take food slowly from the buffet. She started to cry and refused to eat anything else and she was so upset by this because she has never done any of the above he mentioned. She only walks to get her food or if she needs to go to the toilet and then comes back to the table. Last night there was a young child running around everywhere and nothing was mentioned to him or his family. We left the restaurant with my daughter in tears and this is really unacceptable behaviour from your chef telling my daughter off when she has done nothing wrong. Further more you should have spoken to my wife or mother in law. We were regular customers coming once a week but unfortunately we will not return here and my daughter has said she never wants to ever go to your restaurant again. It's a shame that the chef has let this restaurant down as all waiters and waitresses are amazing especially Samira.

By bribing her with a cheese cake and when I spoke to the chef only offering buffet for the kids a joke .if I was manager there I would have said bye bye find another job because you don’t speak to people or kids the way he did to...
