Visited on first Friday of November for the first time for a friend's birthday. We were put out in the garden area in a booth as the main part of the pub was booked out for a private party. On arrival I was impressed with the big TV screen showing lovely scenes of holiday locations, it gave a nice vibe to the bar area. For some reason they put all the heaters off around 9pm so it was rather cold for the rest of the evening and even inside the booth we all had to wear our jackets. Drinks prices were slightly above average considering it's West Ealing. When I bought a round of drinks, I felt the price was quite high so I asked to see what I'd been charged for only to find I'd been charged £25 for 2 cocktails that I hadn't ordered - no one in our crowd (which was mostly males) was drinking cocktails. The chap said he thought it was my tab, I had at no stage asked for a tab and thought it was cheeky that the overcharged monies were then returned to me in cash. Imagine this had happened later in the evening and it wasn't questioned. I really hope it was a genuine error and not deliberate. We had a good time anyway, as they say, it's the company that makes for a good event, not always the venue. At 11pm we were told we needed to get out of the booths, never mind that they had continued serving us drinks right up till 11. We moved inside the pub and had to hang around at the rear of the pub as the private party was in full swing. I'm not sure I'd visit again in a hurry but definitely would not want to be seated outside during...
Read moreAtmosphere is great we are in one of the cabins. They were really nice comfortable got air-conditioning or heating and there was really nice but that is all that was great about this place. Starting with the service the staff need to be trained on service did not know how to serve the food or drinks. The mixing of drinks was to be desired. I asked for orange juice and lemonade pint and got I would say a 300 mil glass with the proportion was not right . The food I ordered a 10 ounce sirloin steak medium rare and what I received was a sliver of a flat iron steak that you get for three four pounds of the cheap steaks in Asda. It was not a nice premium steak that you’ll be charging around thirty pounds. I asked for a Berne steak sauce got peppercorn when I complained the staff just ignored my request and I even mentioned it three times a different servers my friend who asked us for a pizza the base is totally black so in embarrassment the service how to make a new Pizza for for her. For what they’re charging, it’s not worth it. I don’t know what it’s like during the weekends as the main part of the restaurant was completely empty but there are plenty of other places to visit for a decent meal in the area, please avoid this restaurant if you have a choice, even if you’re in a large groupthe cabins are great but otherwise everything else else’s...
Read moreFirstly, this is my first time writing a review ever, by far the worst restaurant in Ealing. Here's why am giving it a one-star rating.
The amount of food you get for the price is a joke. We've ordered 4 courses, spending over £100 and the amount of food you get was horrendous (especially the route 66, sharing for two). The food quality was tragic. The double patty on one of the burgers was completely burnt, both patties, imagine knowing that you've burnt the burger patty and still serve it to the customer... just appalling. We've let one of the waiters know and all we've got in return was a "sorry"... On top of those ridiculous prices, they have the audacity to charge 10% service fee, they just slap you the service charge on your bill, nowhere on the menu says they charge you for the service.. -The waiting time for the food was ridiculous. No one else in the restaurant ordered food before us, we had to wait over 40minutes, with the amount food you get it’s just hideous. Am not surprised at all why the restaurant was practically empty. On my life would not recommend...
