So: Waiter took loads of time coming to give us menus and also taking our order Friend wants to eat something, asks if we can order the food now alongside the drinks, waiter puts his foot down (figuratively) and says "NO!" in a very commanding voice Try ordering one drink: out of stock, order another one no biggy Brings our drinks and asks what we want to eat literally 10 seconds later (must say the drinks service was speedy) Order like no food because we see a dead fly on the plate we were given Ask waitress to remove the fly, she does (great job) Drinking with friends when my friend opens up his napkin and boom another dead fly comes out, we leave that one on the table Eating papadums with a few sides (looked like chutney and stuff like that) and spot a live fly land on our salad side, instantly forget about dipping in that Order a few other drinks, drinks come in, check the neck of the bottle as a joke and see: "BBE March 18" nice. (Side note found a spoon on the floor don't know why but)

All in all the atmosphere was decent, no music or anything but if you're with good company it's more than bearable. Waiters don't make small talk strictly business; definitely not into that but to each their own. Didn't try any of the food apart from the papadums but they were good (apart from the fly that landed on the side) so I assume the rest...

Honestly, this was the worst and the most disgusting restaurant I've been to in London. Worst management, worst customer service. I asked for hot water as I had to take my medicine with it, they said they aren't allowed which was super stupid however I just ignored and thought if ordering. It was just me and my partner, being 10pm already we just wanted to have 2 side dish and few chapatis. When we told the order to the guy he said he can't say how much the quality will be in side dish (curry) not even sure if it will be sufficient for 1 or half person...that's exactly what the man with broken English said! He was terribly rude and arrogant. He added if you can't order full dish you can go to another restaurant. I stood up and left ofcourse giving it back to him. Such people should not be allowed to work in any restaurant. Worst...

Lovely restaurant but they really need to up their vegan game. We went for a friend's birthday and they said I am vegan when making the booking. I should have made more of a fuss about being a vegan before ordering, I just didn't think I needed to in this day and age! There is a vegetarian section on the menu with all Quorn dishes (not all Quorn is egg-free so it depends what they use) but it doesn't indicate if there is any egg or dairy in, even though some items elsewhere on the menu show if there is egg or dairy in with (E) or (D) in red, most contain meat, however. I ordered without asking for vegan dairy-free and ended up having to send one dish back. They made a really tasty Quorn curry for me but in retrospect I'm not sure it was vegan Quorn. There are no dairy-free desserts at all, not...

I ordered veg biriyani (not spicy) and it had almost to no flavour. I even had to add my own spices when I got home just to make it edible. I was so disappointed as I have been craving biriyani for a while now but never seem to find any nice Indian restaurants in east London that remind me of my friends mums homemade biriyani :( the veg curry also has the flavour and was very oily. I honestly feel sick. The only thing that was decent was the naan bread, a bit sweet though. I won’t be coming back and I won’t recommend it to others.

The hotel's ambience is dingy with cheap lights. The food is not good at all and definitely not worth the price they are charging. Portion size is also small. Wait staff is very rude and unhelpful. When we asked for food suggestions they came up with answers like 'How can I say? As small portion for me might be big portion for you', and they made us help them lay the table cloth and change it when we were about to leave. They also charged us for condiments like ketchup. Will never visit again.

Fancy and stylish Indian restaurant; mostly Bengali cuisine alongside some Northie and Punjabi options, mostly meat dishes (chicken, lamb and seafood) but some vegetarian options too (e.g. paneer) and main portions are large, good for sharing. Lassi is available and there is a bar for alcoholic drinks too. Above everything the staff are friendly and the service is great!
