In terms of atmosphere that was all fine. No music playing which is what I prefer and the place wasn't loud. The waiters don't annoy you. I liked the atmosphere very much.
The service was great. Everyone was helpful and accommodating. I did make a small complaint about the chips which I'll elaborate on later but the guy just said okay and did nothing about that which I thought was poor hence the 4/5 star rating. Besides that it deserves a 5.
We started off by sharing a few mix grills between 6 people, you basically get in one mix grill, 3 lamb chips, 3 chicken strips and 3 wings. The wings were the highlight for me the chicken fell off the bone and all of the food had good levels of heat it wasn't overly spicy but perfect amount of spice and there's home made chilli sauce on the table which was delicious and gives you extra spice if you want it. You can even ask for spicy if that's what you want.
For mains we all had the 340g fillet mignon steak cooked medium. They cooked it perfectly as we asked. It was a nice big heavy portion a lot of smaller people will struggle with that but it'll fill you up till bed time. It was juicy, tender and we had the one marinaded with steakout spices so it has solid flavour, I cannot fault the steak. We also tried the chicken steak which was juicy and wasn't dry. The spice level was perfect and it was butterflied so it wasn't thick. No issues with this either.
For the sides we had macaroni cheese which was good, nothing special. It was cheesy and tasted like decent macaroni, I've had a lot better but it's still decent. We also had steak chips but we found a lot of our steak chips were raw from the center, they were busy so they probably rushed it. I personally think they should have taken this off the bill but they just played it off. I didn't argue it, I definitely could have but the rest of the food was solid hence why I didn't bother.
The garlic sauce for the steak was very garlicy which garlic lovers will be happy about it was nice but too strong for me. The peppercorn sauce was my favourite really flavourful and complimented the steak and chips perfectly. The mushroom sauce was nice too maybe a little watery but not bad like it was inedible, it still tasted good. Personally, I would say have the peppercorn sauce and the home made chilli sauce which is on the table. The table also has heinz ketchup and Hellman's mayonnaise.
The kids had chicken strips and fries and pop corn chicken and fries. The chips were skin on fries which were perfectly cooked. The chicken strips were delicious and the popcorn chicken was fine perfect for kids.
We also had the guava mocktail which was delicious unfortunately I have no picture of this. I would recommend this drink it's quite sweet so if you don't like sweet drinks it won't be for you.
The place I would say is a bit pricey but worth it if you love steaks. I've had it before and the chips were fine but this time they weren't so this isn't a regular problem I imagine and you can just send them back to cook properly. Also, everything is halal and no alcohol is served here so perfect for Muslims. A lot of seating is available, additional seating downstairs. I would say make a reservation after 6pm they get very busy they had queues outside today but that might be because it was Eid.
I'd give this place 9/10. Some minor improvements can be made to make this place better and I'd appreciate if they took the initiative to rectify problematic food instead of me having to push for that, it's basic customer service. Again, I know I could have sent it back but they were busy and the steaks were out I couldn't be asked waiting for chips whilst my steak got cold or eat chips alone. On busy days maybe get fries...
Read moreNice friendly place. Serves steaks, burgers, and chicken.
I've tried both the chicken burger and beef burger. Both were huge and more than filled me. Reasonably priced at about £10 for a double burger. My wife has tried both the beef steak and chicken steak and enjoyed both.
The starters are nice. An array of small fried or grilled small plates. I've tried the chicken and cheese balls, and the grilled chicken strips. Both were nice with a preference for the grilled chicken. Neither were amazing but we're nice.
I've also tried the chocolate cake. Unfortunately this was a bit odd a let down. Pictures suggest it is quite large and cooked I a cast iron pan. In reality it seemed to be a small slice of cake from a packet and microwaved. The main reason I know this is because the server brought the cold cake in the unwrapped packet. When we pointed out that we wanted the cake in the picture, he apologised for the confusion. We then saw the packets go over to the microwave, then plated up and served with ice cream. The other giveaway that the cakes were microwaved was uneven heat throughout the cake?
The milkshakes are very nice and made fresh. There's a wide range of flavours to select from. The establishment is halal so they do not serve alcohol. Not a problem for me but worth noting if you were expecting alcohol with your meal.
One of my visits was with a person with a gluten allergy. Dietary and allergy information is held in a multi page A4 binder. This took quiet a while to read through before ordering. It would be easier if the menu was marked with symbols of common allergy information. It wouldn't be possible to cover all allergies but there was no information directly on the menu for any allergies.
Overall a nice restaurant and I would certainly return (but probably skip dessert). Also happy to bring friends...
Read moreFirst time I am reviewing a place so poorly, normally I would feel bad and will not review unless it's a 5 star from me. Was told multiple times that sides are included with the steak after which the staff at the desk charged my table an addition £18 or so. Normally I would just pay to avoid confrontation but I had literally ASKED MY WAITRESS 3 TIMES!! So I made an enquiry to the manager and I immediately regretted doing so. He was rude, consistently cut me off and was downright confrontation. I'VE NEVER FELT SO UNCOMFORTABLE IN MY LIFE. He made me feel like I was complaining for the sake of money. My waitress seemed new so I genuinely think he was well aware that I may be telling the truth but I feel he just wanted my money so figured he could shout me down. I told him that I will pay and just wanted to raise, what I felt, was a fare point of principle. He seemed uninterested once I paid and responded by initially calling me a liar and then “just confused” and walked off. I just stood there, embarrassed at the debacle and everyone staring at me and then I walked out the store. Horrible experience. Judging by the way he acted I genuinely hope he didn’t verbally abuse the staff member who served me after I left. Apart from this mistake she was actually really sweet! If you’re reading this, I hope you realise; It’s not your staff’s fault, they are a representation of your poor training! You got my money, but that’s the last time.
EDIT: Why ask me to email you when you have not replied? Its been a month! At the very least have that much courtesy. Seem like you just replied to my initial review all for show when you have no intention of doing anything. Please don't ask anything...
