Honestly what a fantastic little find. For central London the prices are more than reasonable. I would say this place is exceptional value for money. The staff were super friendly and also very informative offering recommendations for the wine and for the menu. We were just looking for a quick bite and didn’t have any expectations for this new place. However we were blown away by the food, wine and hospitality. The environment was very relaxed and welcoming. We sat for hours talking over tapas and wine. The wine was £19.50 a bottle. They even let us sample the wine as we couldn’t choose between the two roses and actually the cheaper bottle was elegantly crisp and delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The tap water was perfectly iced with a slice of lemon. Usually a bottle of still or sparkling is forced upon you but I really liked they way in which they prepared the tap water. Lots of ice and lemon. Usually in London staff with look at you square if you even suggest tap water. They had fresh sunflowers on the table complimenting the Very soft Mediterranean decor. For food I opted for the garlic sausages with cheese! Wow ... falafel, hummus, burraka and zucchini fritter. All of it was mouth watering. We’ll be back for sure. I would say however the dessert Menu didn’t have any chocolate on. My only Criticism, however there were lots of other tasty...

While this is a long overdue review but I feel like I had to be properly fair and impartial. A party of 4 arrives for dinner with a booking made through the Fork which meant the meal would be 50% off. As we prepare to order, we’re told that 3 out of the 6 dishes we wanted to order were not available even thought it was only 7 and the place was not busy at all, with only two other tables full. Once we order, we asked for the wine menu and the first wine we wanted to order was also not available, so we ordered another one. As they bring the bottle, which they poured before we could even try it, we see the logo and it looks somewhat familiar. Once she sets the bottle done, we checked it and it was in fact a bottle of wine from Lidl, which had the Deluxe label attached and which was priced at £32. We were in disbelief and disappointed with the whole experience, and to make matters worse, the food did not live up to the expectations. It was an overall disappointing experience since one of the members of the party was a big fan of the restaurant and was disheartened to see how the quality of the food and drink has drastically decreased, so I do hope the situation improves. I will say the atmosphere in the restaurant was great, with an adequate aesthetic and the waitress was very...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hugs and Bites, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcomed, living up to their name with warm, genuine smiles and hospitality. The ambiance is cozy yet modern, creating the perfect backdrop for an intimate meal or a relaxed evening with friends.

The menu is thoughtfully curated with a variety of dishes that are both creative and delicious. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and it was evident that only the freshest ingredients were used. I highly recommend trying the chicken haloumi, which was a standout – tender, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely mouthwatering!

The attention to detail in both the presentation and service truly elevates the dining experience here. It’s clear that the team at Hugs and Bites is passionate about what they do, making every effort to ensure guests have a memorable time. If you’re in London and looking for a place with amazing food, a welcoming vibe, and top-notch service, Hugs and Bites is a must-visit. I can’t...

Popped in for a light lunch with some friends to this cosy spot well located near Warren Street. The interior is really nicely designed, although the tables are quite close together. We ordered the mezze with three dips plus the calamari, the halloumi and the roasted cauliflower. The calamari with it's crispy, crunchy crumb was a standout and we really loved the halloumi too. Service was relaxed and friendly. The toilets were down a very steep set of stairs. We had a discount from The Fork so that made it affordable. If we paid full price it would have been expensive for small plates.
