The score given is only 1 stars due to not being a welcoming pub. It is nice having a karaoke night but the music is so loud which does not allow you to speak with your mates. Therefore, a less loud volume would be great. But the main negative part was the annoyed attitude from one staff member: a young girl working behind the bar, blond hair and an accent which might be from an Eastern EU country. Looking like she had a bad shift and responding like there was an argument between us. I had to tell her that I was not arguing (I did not know my table number and her and another staff member wanted me to go and get it). I suffer from an invisible disability and I showed my disable card since I have problems with my legs. She looked annoyed. Before getting sick, I used to work in hospitality for yrs and her facial expression and attitude were the reaction of someone who should not face the public. Very unwelcoming. I will...

Had booked a table for 4 to watch the England vs Sweden game. Upon receiving confirmation (booked originally for2:30 and then shifted back to 3:00), had called the pub to re-confirm we will have a good view of the game and was assured there wouldn't be any issues.

Once we were done with lunch at the neighbouring Honey & Co., came in 2 mins prior to kick-off (before our reserved time) to find the place absolutely packed, as expected - due to both the Pride festival and the football. We were told by the staff that they had "forgotten" to put the "reserved" sign on a table meant for us, which was obviously now occupied. We were also told to "find" our own stools if we wanted to sit. As you can imagine there were plenty of free chairs to go around in that packed pub. Not.

Bad service. Great...

Group of 50, hired out the upstairs for a leaving do, and everything was amazing! We pre-ordered hot nibbles and snacks, and pizzas and they were able to cater to our many intolerances in our large group. Massive thanks to Lyle and Joel who lead a superb team, all of whom are extremely friendly, happy and chatty. Joel in particular was brilliant to liaise with throughout the booking and was very personable! We could play our own music and show a photo slide on the projector too. Since Joel has taken this pub over you can really feel the heart and soul in the pub again. Also special shout out to the carbonara pizza-it was so yummy! Excellent happy hour too! The pizza’s are proper delicious and we will be using the space again in the near future I am...

I come to this pub all the time. Saturday afternoons are generally the best if you're after a relaxed atmosphere where you can have a conversation at a normal volume, whereas week nights are better if you're after a rowdier time. The selection of rums behind the bar is one of the best in the area, they have a good roster of cocktails which changes regularly, the food is modern and tasty, but the best thing about the bar is the staff. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful, and happy to make whatever drink you want. The bar has a good selection of rotating craft beers too, but let's face it, this pub is all about the rum!

VERY popular pub in the area, with kitchen residencies from independent traders. Currently hosting "Daccapo pizzeria", presenting a Roman-inspired menu. Pizza was ok but not outstanding; "ricotta cream bomb" is actually tiny and dough was a bit hard. Fair value if you have lunch (2-course plus drink for £12.95). Please add a tip when you pay by card, to support the great staff. Booking is essential if you want to stay indoors in the evening, the venue is packed by 6pm on Thursdays.

This is a great venue off the main drag. Particularly great if you like rum but lots of other drinks available. The casks beers were not particularly well served but I guess that's not their speciality! Food looked good albeit relatively small portions. Upstairs seating was closed when I visited although no sign to tell you this. A few fruit flies buzzing around suggesting the cleaning regime may not be the best. Great place to grab a drink with friends or colleagues.
