We decided to revisit this restaurant after a visit last year. To say we are disappointed is an understatement. The service was appalling, the food average (chicken was very dry) and other people in the restaurant were literally shouting at each other across the table rather than speak like regular people would. We booked a table and when we arrived we told the server who simple pointed at a table, no hello, no pleasantries. We then waiting for menus before another server appeared. We ordered popadoms with the dips and 2 main courses. I had the biriyani and my husband ordered the Malabar chicken curry which he said was quite dry (the chicken). Before we'd even finished the popadoms the server came and took them away, whilst putting down plates for our mains, it was so abrupt my husband was actually still eating. The noise in this place was extraordinary, I couldn't even hear my husband when he was talking to me across the table because of the level of noise. I appreciate that a restaurant with an atmosphere is great however when people are shouting at each other from across the table it doesn't make it much fun for other patrons. We asked for the bill having eaten only half of the food, no one came to ask if everything was OK, to be honest we got the impression they don't care whether you're enjoying your time there or not. We got the bill, the same "mute" server who we spoke to came with the card machine, said nothing and we promptly paid and left. Absolutely disgusting service. We won't be returning here and I hope that the people who read this will be treated better than the way my husband and I were treated. In addition, people smoke directly outside the door, which when you’re a non smoker, is gross.

Sat outside the front on a warm June Wednesday evening and was not disappointed. Great drinks selection, great food, rapid service. i had the chicken tikka - nicely spicy, succulently soft, beautiful flavour - and my better half had the Lamb Raseela which she loved. For mains I went for the Fish Kawari which again had a nice kick to it (with an extra serving of crunchy dry red chillies) and an amazing blend of flavour with the fish cooked to perfection. My fiancée had the chicken korma, which whilst it wasn't your classic peshwari filling in liquid form in a jar, had a nice salt and sweet contrast with what tasted like a generous amount of stock with it. Delicious! Also I'd recommend getting some bread! The roti and paratha are super crusty and will mop up everything on your plate. Lastly we had the Rasmalai milk dumplings - Indian sweets that took me back to my grandparents in Kolkata - and the lady had the apple and fig muesli - a tad sweet but as long as you have a healthy dose of ice cream to contrast, you'll be ok. Can't believe I've been in West London this long and never discovered this place. Will definitely return!

I heard about this place upon recommendation from a nearby hotel concierge and also saw that this place is Highly Rated on Google Maps. It’s a a fine dining restaurant great for dinner. The food were delicious, I’d say it was one of the best Indian food I ever had. However, I was a bit surprised when the bill came, it came down to £50 per person without drinks, considering it has only two dollar signs ($$) on Maps. I think that this restaurant should have a three dollar sign ($$$) instead. The service could also be improved, especially for customers who are not very familiar with Indian food. It would be helpful if the servers are trained to give a proper and friendlier explanation of the dishes and how to mix and match the dishes for family style.

Indian Zing Restaurant is a culinary oasis where every dish tells a story of passion, tradition, and innovation. One of their standout offerings is the Devonshire Crab, a true testament to the restaurant's commitment to excellence. Delicately prepared with the freshest ingredients, the crab dish is a symphony of flavors, blending the sweetness of the crab meat with the subtle heat of Indian spices. Each bite is a revelation, leaving diners craving for more.

For those seeking a carnivorous adventure, the Ghatti Lamb is an absolute must-try. Tender chunks of lamb are marinated in a blend of aromatic spices and slow-cooked to perfection, resulting in a dish that is both hearty and deeply satisfying. The richness of the lamb is perfectly complemented by the bold flavors of the spices, creating a culinary masterpiece that will linger on your palate long after the last bite.

And let's not forget about the succulent Prawns, another star of the menu at Indian Zing. These plump, juicy prawns are expertly seasoned and grilled to perfection, resulting in a dish that is bursting with flavor. Each bite is a revelation, as the sweetness of the prawns mingles with the smoky char from the grill, creating a harmonious blend of tastes and textures that is simply irresistible.

But it's not just about the food at Indian Zing Restaurant. The warm and inviting ambiance, paired with the attentive service, elevates the dining experience to a whole new level. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply indulging in a night out, Indian Zing Restaurant offers an unforgettable culinary journey that will leave you coming back for more."

The only thing is it's a tad heavy on the wallet so won't be your everyday takeaway place.. but that's...

Toxic duck curry!!!

Worst food poisoning I have ever experienced and some pretty poor customer service!!!

I took my wife to Indian Zing a few weeks back and ate the duck curry. What a mistake that turned out to be! Within hours of leaving the restaurant I knew something wasn't right, my stomach was churning. I spent the next 8 hours running backwards and forwards to the toilet with violent diarrhea and projectile vomiting to the point I almost ended up in hospital! I was barely able to eat for the coming 2 days and lost 5kg!

I phoned the restaurant on the Monday to let them know what had happened and the man I spoke to seemed surprised and said he would speak to his manager and get back to me shortly. About a day later I got a phone call offering me a free main course on my next visit.

I explained to the man that after my experience I would be unlikely to ever return to their restaurant and suggested perhaps they would give me a refund to which he initially said no and again told me I could have a free main course (as if the previous few sentences had not taken place!!!) He then said he would speak to his manager and get back to me by that night.

It has now been 3 weeks so I have decided to warn others against the TOXIC DUCK...
