Look, this is not your usual Brazilian Rodizio, if that's what you're looking for... This is more like a fast food type of place, but to be honest, I was just as well impressed with the quantity they've served! I chose picanha with cassava chips, farofa and rice. I must say that the portion was fairly big and I actually struggled to finish it. The picanha was cooked to perfection. The only down-side was that the farofa was not freshly made and was one of those that you buy in a bag, which she sorted out by putting into a little plastic pot in front of me. I felt that given its Brazilian, there should've been feijoada too, to complement the dish. But all in all, I thought the price was fair at just over 17 pounds. The food was ready in about 10 min. So really good service and food. If you are in the area and can't decide which one to choose from in box park (there are so many!) I would suggest trying this one out....
Read moreI had the mixed skewers. One was chicken and after the first bite I saw it was strangely red inside. I was worried it wasn’t cooked so didn’t eat any more of it but thought I was probably overreacting. By Sunday I was in hospital. Test results have confirmed they gave me campylobacter food poisoning. Absolutely unacceptable. They should be using food thermometers to ensure meat is cooked properly. I cannot trust their “5-star food rating” if something this serious is able to happen. I had the worst fever of my life for 24 hours and I’ve been off work for 7 days with awful diarrhoea, stomach pain and nausea and have been unable to eat anything except a few bites of toast and bananas. I’m now on antibiotics but am no closer to being well enough to go to work. I’m self-employed so this has...
Read moreNatasha who works as the cashier at ipanema bbq is amazing! I haven't tried Brazilian food before and she was totally welcoming and answered all my questions and even helped me decide on what to order according to my tastes, as well as showing me pictures of what the food looked like. I ordered the feijoada and was not disappointed and she even told me how the farofa is eaten with it because I wasn't sure. I enjoyed my meal so much I will definitely be coming back. I had a great conversation with her and she even recommended a drink I should try for next time. The Brazilian chefs are amazing too, you can tell they put a lot of effort into the dish. I recommend getting the feijoada if you love rice and good meat, it felt healthy because they put a lot of greens, beans and an...
